I started getting overweight at age 6... my doctors started checking for any medical problems (thyroid, etc) but found nothing. Even from that age, I had the appetite of a football player. To make a long story short, I've gained and lost weight a LOT of times... mostly doing it the healthy weight, but I've always gained it back. Most recently, I lost over 100 pounds, from my high weight of 258, getting down to 152. I started working on a degree as a fitness specialist so I could help other people do what I had done. My weight started going back up again after a couple of years, and I've been struggling to keep it down. As the weight has come back on, my blood pressure has gone up and my endurance has gone down. I'm currently a Pilates teacher who can't do some of the exercises I'm supposed to teach because of all the extra fat. I met with my surgeon last month and am (hopefully) going to have the surgery at the end of the month. I'm just so tired of this struggle.
