I found that video very informative. Thank you for sharing. -
Looking for a sleeve buddy! Just had surgery September 2nd. Would love to hear how things are going. What you're eating and how you're coping with the new sleeve.

So the last couple times that I've tried to get in my shake or some soup I've started to feel nausea coming on. Took my medicine and it does go away. I've read a couple people have had this. How long do you think this will go on?? Cause it really makes it hard to get that protein in for sure. -

I think just trying to get close to our goals is ok. Some of us can tolerate better than others. -

Glad you haven't thrown up! You're doing good getting your liquids in! I find myself sleeping to much to get anything in. I know the pressure feeling well. With all the swelling and gas inside I'm surprised we don't explode! -

How did your surgery go? How are you feeling? I had mine the 2nd. -
how long is the Gastric Sleeve surgery ?
Always smiling replied to boosh10's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My procedure took 3-4 hours. But I had a huge hiatal hernia. I was previously banded and that was removed this past February. Unfortunately with all the complications from that, I don't have a "banana" shaped stomach. So I'm guessing depends on what they find inside that will dictate the surgery time. -
Oh great advice with the pain killer!!! I'm officially on day four which means I can start full liquid diet. I'm NERVOUS! But excited to have something other than clear fluids.
-
So I had surgery Wednesday the 2nd. I'm sipping all clear liquids, but I feel like I can sip a good amount. Is this normal? Being able to sip a cup of chicken broth? I don't have any pain or nausea with all my clear fluids. I just want to make sure I'm not hurting anything!

12 days post opt. Can I take laxatives?
Always smiling replied to del112's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was recommended to take milk of magnesia if constipated. Has not worked yet ???? But I'm 4 days out still in clear liquid diet. -
Sept date I am all set

Drain is to keep excess fluid from building up and becoming infected. I had two in when I had a tummy tuck a few years back. They're a good thing, just really annoying. -

Surgery was done Wednesday. How is everyone else doing? I still have drain in, and due to holiday won't have it out until Tuesday. Not my favorite thing but better safe than sorry! Hope all my September pals are doing good post op and pre op! -

Great idea! The evening hours that will help a lot! Surgery is scheduled for next Wednesday, so I am in the home stretch. So excited that my band is gone and I'm getting sleeved! Thanks for the kind words of support! -
