I had my lap band done at Mexicali. Mexico by Dr. Alberto Aceves.  I chose to have it done in Mexico because my health insurance will not cover any bariatric surgery.  I was fearfull for my life and worried that I would have a stroke or get diabetes if I didn't do something.  I am pleased with my decision to go to Mexico and it was the cleanest and nicest private hospital that I have ever been too.  I only hope that I have made a good decision in my life.
