have you tried and ice pack wrapped in a towel. I remember my grandmother telling me when I was a kid that if a cut itches, it's healing internally.

Ok people here is my story. I originally had lap band surgery on 10/6/2006 I was at 280 at the time. I lost a lot of weight in fact I had went down to 175ish:cool2:. But in October of 2008 I developed gall stones and had to have gall bladder surgery while I was in surgery they discovered that I had a slip and I also developed a hernia:sad:. Ok before you say "what" I will admit I did have some weird pains every now and then and vomiting when I ate fast and didn't chew well enough but hey I had lost all this weight and I thought that that was the price I would have to pay to remain thin and love life so I was glad to make that trade (no pain, no gain). Anyway I had the gall bladder removed and a band revision in October 2008. Well it is Nov 2009 and I have gained alot of weight back since the GB surgery, back to 250:crying:. I had fill after fill since the GB surgery and I NEVER felt any restriction even after four to five fills. I also noticed that my port started to protrude a little and I let my doctor know about it. He checked it out and said that I was ok. Well as time went by the protrusion became more and more noticeable and then the pain started. In the midst of this I had to leave my job and my medical benefits went out of the door too. I started school but here we go for the current. I went to my doctor because the port site became red and painful. My doctor told me that I had to have port revision surgery and that it wasn't a big deal until the office manager told me that it would cost me $3,400 up front!. Ok I have a medical issue on one hand and a my doctor's office telling me that I had to pay all this money:confused:. I spoke to Dr Garth Davis (a gift from God) and I told him that I hadn't felt any restriction and after talking to him he said that I might have a kink in my line and that he will correct the kink and the port revision. Long story shortened as much as possible, Tomorrow night I'm going to have port revision surgery tomorrow morning. Is there anyone here that has had port revision surgery that can tell me what to expect? I need to be back to work and school on day after tomorrow.
