I really do not have a story to tell but I am kind of confused about which surgery to get.  I am very interested in getting either the Lap Band or the Gastric Bypass. I have already been approved just waiting on the date for the surgery,  I want the bypass surgery but I don't know if I will be able to get the reconstructive surgery for the excess skin because I am looking at lay off and if I get another job I wonder if my new insurance will cover the cost of the reconstructive surgery 12-15 months after the bypass.  And I know that it may not be the safest but I am hearing a lot about the lap band too that people are not losing weight and that the band slips and the people that I know states that they wish they had the bypass instead of the lap band surgery.  I have heard that the change in insurance companies does not make a difference because all the hospital has to do is send the paperwork in to the new insurance showing proof that I had the surgery.  But still my question to all those who had the surgery is, do you have to 100 % excercise daily or can i lose about 30 -40 lbs a month to get to my desired goal with the lap band?  Help Me Please
