    Totally devastated

Like most of the other banders have said, don't let the remarks and comments from others bother you. You are doing wonderful, so stay focused. I was banded on 2/3/10 and I have decided not to have the "weight loss" conversation everytime I talk to my friends. I've come to the realization that everyone is not as excited about your journey as you are. Take sweety and keep up the GREAT work.

    Yeah for me!!!!

Today I am 2 weeks post-op and I'm down a total of 19lbs. last week I was a little discouraged because I wasn't seeing any significant weight loss. Looks like I'm getting on track. Yeah for me!!!!!!

    No weight loss?

Woke up this morning started with my normal ritual, hopped on the scale, again today no freakin' weight loss:mad2:. I'm really pissed, 5 days post-op, which means nothing by these damn liquids, and stil nothing no weight loss. I'm trying not to be so uptight about but it's really hard. Has anyone else this problem? is it normal? I must admit I haven't done a lot of exercise, today I'm going to kick my exercise plan into gear. Forcing myself to get over it!

    No weight loss?

Thanks guys, I was just a little beside myself. I know I'm doing everything I'm suppose to be doing so I'll just wait for the scale to catch up.

    Three days post-op

I'm three days out from my surgery, and I'm doing great . I must admit I was really scared and didn't really know what to expect, but know that I have been banded I am extremely happy I did it. I've been in very little pain, and I even walked 30 minutes on the treadmill today . The only problem I've had so far is getting all my liquids in. I'm a little worried about becoming dehydrated, really don't want that to happen. Today I'm going to really push myself to get the liquids in.

Wow, I have a Blog Spot!

You're lucky, I had to go on a very strict all liquid diet for an entire week. It was cool cuz it has helped me get ready for my all liquid diet after the surgery. Had my surgery on 2/4/2010, I'm doing really well, can't image trying to consume anything other than liquid right now. Like "btrieger" said, all doctors are different, so if its working roll with it. Wishing you much continued success.

    Getting Started

Hey jaimemealy, I totally understand how you feel. I'm due to be banded tomorrow, excited, but just like you said the only thing that I can think about are the "what ifs", what if this band doesn't work, what if I don't lose any weight at all. I'm really want to get my mind off the "what ifs" and move to the "I can". Just stay encouraged. You CAN!!!!!
  12. Celebrate your 90lb loss, I know it's not where you want to be, but just hang in there, your goal weight is on the horizon.

    Almost There

Hi All, I am on my 6th day of liquid diet (woo hoo!!!), it's been a hard, but not as bad as I thought it was going to be. I felt a little weak after the 4th day so I had a small bowl of turnip greens. I felt much better afyerwards. My surgery is set for February 4th, I'm a little anxious, but still very excited about the future.
