Since I can remember I have been over weight, always the bigger one in the class after many years of struggling with weight I decided that I needed something that was going to work once and for all.  The heaviest I have ever been was 270 that was back in 2006, I went to curves and did the 6 week challenge, and lost a total of 30 lbs, but I gained 10 back gradually.  Prior to going into surgery my weight was 249 and 6 months later I am 207!  I would have lost more but, I had to get my band untied temporarily due to food getting stuck.  I am bittersweet about this surgery but I hope that with the support of lap band patients I will make it a SWEETER experience.
