I know two women who underwent the surgery in Tijuana about a year ago. They both started out at about the same weight I did and have both lost almost 90lbs so far. They recommended Mexico to me and I finally began to take them seriously when I hit 200lbs. Everything fell into place, so 4days ago my mom and I drove to El Paso so that I could get my surgery done in Juarez. I had Dr. Rodolfo Natera and the experience itself was very reassuring. The doctors and nurses were friendly and forthcoming, the hospital is brand new and completely amazing, and the hotel we stayed in for the second night was better than half the hotels I've stayed at in the states. The only problem I am having now is I feel overwhelmed and at a loss as to where to go from here. I have a lot of questions and feel pretty stupid shooting an email to the nurse in Mexico every time I get confused with my menu at this point. So I have decided to join an online support group where hopefully the people who have been through it already will be willing to give me the advice and support I need.
