Hi Sussie, welcome, this is a very informative forum and everyone is very nice. I haven't had my surgery yet, due 12th March however I am having surgery on the Friday and flying back Sunday. I am staying at the Camponile in Vilvoorde, everyone seems to do this and your consultation the night before is held here. I don't plan on doing any sight seeing, don't think I will be put to it at all, but I am sure someone more knowledgable than me will reply. Good Luck.

Hi Scooby, know what you mean about withdrawals, when you can't have something you want it. My partner Ray is coming with me too, we are hiring a car so don't worry about Brian. If you want we can meet up in the evening, will be nice to have someone there too, also for the men in our life. I have all the feelings your going thru also, want to start my new life. I have done well in losing weight but need that extra push now.

Hi Scooby have you booked your flight yet, we are stay at Campanile in Vilvoorde, and as you know I am having mine done on 12th. I will be taking my partner, are you going with anyone. It will be nice to meet up with someone. Can't wait now, wishing my time away and realising life will change a little, a little scary but also exciting, hope you are OK. Is there anyone else out there going at the same time?

It can't go quick enough for me, I am looking forward to summer, hope this works, I have the fears creeping in that everyone does about failure, I have to stay positive and will do once I am there and everything is done and dusted.

Good to hear about your experience, did anyone see the Daily Mail today, go online, it it about a lady who has lost weight with a gastric band, she has taken pictures every month and you can really see the difference. Don't think I can be that brave, wish I could as you can see how much your body changes.

I also did my bank transfer on Saturday, £25 with the Abbey, wish I was with the co-op now. Time can't fly enough till I get my band done - 12th March.

Thank you for the info re the bank Transfer, I am going to pay mine this weekend too and will ring the bank first to make the appointment. It seems like an age away (11th Marsh) so I am also wishing my life away at the moment. Thank you for all the info on this site, Susan

Hi Kerry Did book the airport hotel and then changed my mind after looking at reports, so no doubt will be the one in the town but will have a look round, I am obsessed with checking things and trying to do the right thing. Glad to hear you will be there too, are you taking anyone? I booked thru Bridgitte. I agree with the length of time, I am wishing my life away. Just fed up with this weight, I am running out of clothes to wear for work. Susan

Hi Julie, apologies for jumping on your post, I have booked my flights and struggling re the hotel, the one nearer the airport is £100 cheaper than Vilvoorde. If there is anyone out there who has been and can advise that would be good. Looking on Trip Advisor both Campaniles don't seem that good. Again any advice?

Thank you Hopkicat, looks like we are the same starting weight. You are losing nice and gradual, how many calories does it take for you to lose at this rate?

Hello everyone, my name is Susan and I am new here. I have been reading all your mails and took the decision to go with Dr Bruyne. I have booked the date which will be 12th March. Flying out of Manchester on the Thursday evening and decided to stay at the Campanile Hotel near the airport, I found the other hotel very very expensive, they are obviously loading their prices. I wish this was earlier but I will be patient as I know it will work. It is interesting to hear all your experience and it's so important to post to help others make a decision. If anyone is going at the same time don't hesitate to contact me. I have yo-yo dieted all my life so this has to work, fingers crossed. I love hearing your experiences, thank you.
