I've been overweight all my life since age 13. I also developed psoriatic arthritis in my late teens, probably that went untreated properly for years. Now at 55 I've had numerous joint injections, a new left knee and right hip, epidurals in my lower back, etc. But I got SSADI right out of the gate (must have been as bad as I thought I was! ) and that has helped me with chronic pain, fatigue issues immensely! So now it's time to deal with my weight issues. I'm a head eater, like most - I eat when I happy, sad, bored, anger, excited..you name it and I can use work food in there somewhere. But now at 55 and the mom of an adult daughter with Down Syndrome and a wonderful life partner, I need to be sure I'm around a long time and starting to battle Type II diabetes. The time for ignoring my weight is OVER. Not that I"m not scared to have surgery but I've failed to do this on my own and my health demands it. So here I go over the Lap Band waterfall...ieyeyeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
