Finding The Lap Band Green Zone

There is no green zone. I'm 2.5 years post surgery, and while the first year I never found the green zone, the second year and a half, even if I can eat during the day, I'm coughing until I throw up at night. There's no logic. Over time, it gets more and more useless. That is why there is only a year-long success rate. It's kind of a scam. I'm going at it on my own again with no fluid in the band.
  3. They might not have filled your band much at all for the beginning, they left mine pretty open to start with, to get used to it... that could be.
  4. Hello, I had my surgery 4 days ago, and the first two days I was very nauseous and would heave up air. The next couple of days I wasn't nauseous anymore (they switched my meds and gave me an anti-nausea med) but I am still having these awful hiccup/burp surges that are very painful! I can't tell if I have to burp anymore, and the surges hurt so much. Has anyone else experienced this? Hopefully it doesn't last forever.

    Is this a "normal" burp?

Hi Michelle, I was banded on 1/29 and am having the exact same problem as you. It happened twice where I dry heaved and it was all air coming out, as though my body wasn't telling me when I needed to burp. Really weird and very scary! I was so scared of the pressure on the band since it's so new. But today is day 3 and I haven't had the nausea problem as much today, and haven't had the problem happen yet today. Hopefully it is over and done with, and just part of the healing... but I feel your pain
