  1. Went in for my check up and decided to get a small fill when they tried to remove the Fluid to see how much was in the band I could feel it tugging. They couldn't remove any fluid. They reviewed my upper gi disk and it shows as plain as day its kinked.I know they had a recall for this for my band but only on the ones that weren't placed in anyone..

I just purchased the new NutriBullet Nutrition System and am having fun looking for healthy Protein shakes. I am going to start incorporating fresh veggies and will post as I go along. Many of these recipes I have already tried and LOVE!

    These Protein Shake recipes can be 'doctored' taylored to your liking, don't be afraid to experiment (that's what I do)! *some recipes you may add ice or not* this is entirely up to you the way you like your shake...

    Protein shake Recipes

    Chunky Monkey

    8 oz. skim or almond milk

    1 Scoop chocolate Protein Powder

    1/8 cup Walnuts

    ½ of a small Banana

    strawberry & Banana Smoothie

    8 oz. skim or almond milk

    1 Scoop of Vanilla Protein Powder

    ½ small Banana

    3 Strawberries (fresh or frozen)

    Banana Split

    8 oz. skim or almond milk

    1 Scoop of Vanilla Protein Powder

    ½ small Banana

    1/8[sup'] [/sup]cup of chopped Pineapples

    2 Strawberries (fresh or frozen)

    Blueberry Smoothie

    8 oz. Skim or Almond Milk

    1 Scoop of Vanilla Protein Powder

    ½ Cup of Fresh or Frozen Blueberries

    chocolate Covered Cherries

    8 oz. Skim or Almond Milk

    1 Scoop of Chocolate Protein Powder

    10 Fresh or Frozen Cherries

    1 tsp. of cherry flavored extract or sugar free Torani Syrup (optional)

    1 tbs. Caramel Torani Syrup (sugar free)

    3 ice cubes

    Lemmon Meringue Pie

    8 oz. Skim or Almond Milk

    1 Scoop of Vanilla Protein Powder

    1 tbs. of Sugar Free Lemon Pudding mix

    ½ tsp. Lemon extract (optional)

    3 ice cubes

    Pistachio Cake

    8 oz. Skim or Almond Milk

    I'm looking for some non-judgemental help here. I have, honestly, had my band for a year. I initially lost weight, mainly from the liquid diet, but since then I've been gaining it back. This is definitely my fault - not the band's. I've been eating poorly, as I've tried to find the 'sweet spot' with the band. I went through so much throwing up when i was too tight, and then total hunger when I've been too loose. Now my doctor feels that we are 'very close' to finding the right amount of restriction.

    I asked my doctor what diet I should do (I really need to follow a strict regime -- I don't do well when I don't have something to follow). He said I SHOULD NOT do Weight Watchers -- 'it's not compatible with the band. He told me to "think Atkins", but hasn't been more specific. I'm meeting with him Monday and will try to get more.

    In the meantime, I would be so appreciative to learn what your successful diet has been. What do you eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and Snacks? I don't really cook, but I'm in New York City so I can pretty much get anything.

  4. I do Zumba 3 days a week. I have lost more weight than I was just doing my walking and elliptical. When I saw my doctor he wanted to know what I had been doing to have lost so much..Said that it can burn up to a 1000 calories.. I love it.


  5. I had my surgery a week and day go as of today. My hardest thing to get in is my Protein drinks right now. I hear that the Protein is what will help with the weight lost and the elactisity of my skin. I have lost 28 lbs since 2/25 and I am excited. I don't want the weight loss to stop or slow down. Please give me some ideas on Protein Drinks (already made).
