Beversman: You are doing fantastic! Keep it up. My doctor said absolutely no abdominal exercises for 3 months. He said that water aerobics would be alright after 2 months. You need to give your body time to heal. You are doing great! Keep moving!

Tami- "Pero" is like Postum, but it's not as bitter. I like the taste of Pero better, smoother somehow. BJean & Suz- It is frustrating about the fill situation. I guess I would whine a lot more to the doc and not let them intimidate me. I know easier said than done. Katt- I think that BJean gave you some good advice. I'm sorry for your loss. Life is not fair. I hope that you will be extra kind to yourself and just allow your feelings to come out. I think that is the best way. When I loss someone very dear to me, I realized that it was a process. I think that about the one year anniversary that there was a shift and I was able to feel more at peace. Take care of yourself (but not with food). Best wishes. If you need to vent, do it here, people will rally around you.

Tami: Your before and after shots were "marvelous daarling!" You look great. Big difference in hips and your face. It makes me even more proud of you. Thanks for sharing.

Bjean: LOL. According to my Diet Power program, snowshoeing burns 278 calories in 20 minutes. Your friend deserves to be svelt, 60 and going strong. I want to be that skinny beeotch. Someday, soon! Tami- Thanks for the ideas. I will try waterloading and see if it helps or causes problems like Bjean experienced. Get back with you on that one. My pbing experience was so awful that I'm a little afraid to eat. I did take it easy yesterday. "Pero" is a barley drink from Germany. You can find it in most grocery stores. It was invented during the war when coffee was scarce. Alot of Mormons (and other people) drink it in place of coffee. It doesn't have any calories, but of course, I add artificial sweetner and coffeemate. I like it alot. I find that something warm in my stomach helps me to feel fuller. Now you know about horefrost and Pero. What will you learn next?! Went to water aerobics today. It was a deep water class with flloatation belts and dumbells. Great work out. Hope everyone has a good day.

You guys are funny! I went snowshoeing again today. It kicked butt! It was 19 degrees out, but I wasn't at all cold. It's really a work out and beautiful out in the park. No horefrost however! Since my last fill I'm starting to feel restriction, or rather discomfort when I eat anything dry. This is not limited to chicken, either. Bran Cereal and halibut also caused me problems. Last night for the first time, I PB'd and then I threw up 3 times. It was painful and awful. I was careful today, about chewing the heck out of my food but I could still feel a little tightness. Even though I'm experiencing this, I still don't feel full when I eat. What gives? Do I just need to deal with hunger as a part of this process? I'm getting frustrated, plus the more I exercise, the more my appetite has picked up. Any suggestions? My meals today: Breakfast- Protien drink, 1/3 c. berries, Pero Snack- Fiber One Honey Clusters, 1c., 3.5 oz. skim milk lunch out- meat loaf, about 3 ounces, 2 slices of tomato, 1 bite of a roll Snack- Dannon Light & Fit yogurt, pero Dinner- Healthy Choice, Sweet & Sour Chicken Too much food or too little? I was still hungry. It seems that late afternoons are the worst. Anyway, maybe I'll try posting my menus for a while.

BJean: Way to go! I've gone to 2 water aerobics classes this week too. I am going to go to a deep water class on Saturday. I love water aerobics. You can't tell you're working hard until you get out of the water, but I've got the sore muscles to prove it.

Puddin: You'll be in my prayers. I wish you the best!
-
BJean: Sorry I said Lisa. Senior moment!
-
Lisa: Try somethiing warm on your stomach and in it. Get some sugar free hot chocalate or peppermint tea. Try and relax and don't punishment yourself for slipping off the wagaon. At least you recognized the trigger, now you can think of other behaviors besides eating that would help you let off some of the steam. Wish you the best!
-
Puddin: Good luck with your PS. Please keep us posted on how everything goes, etc. You're going to love it!
-
Lisa: You might have gotten bruised from the fill. I would give yourself a little TLC. Platueas suck! I didn't lose any weight for 3 weeks and was getting very discouraged. Hang in there. It will come off! I guess the exercise and protien will speed things along. Notice any NSV's? You're probably getting smaller, ie. in inches. Good luck!

Wow! This is a long thread with a lot of information on it! First, Tami, I didn't get the picture of the horefrost before it went a way. I thought about sending a picture of my ex-daughter-in-law, since she fits the 2nd definition, but thought better of it. It is suppose to snow on Friday, maybe I can get out the camera then. I really want all you Southern gals to see how beautiful winter can be. Also, I can't believe how fast you can lose weight. Way to go! MimIn: Thanks for doing the challenge. Congratulatons on your NSV. I lost 4 pounds this week! Hallelaluja, the platueau has ended! I also exercised 4 times this week. Getting in snowshoeing, weight lifting, treadmill and exercise videos. Happy Birthday, BJean! As far as plastic surgery goes. I really want to get a tummy tuck and breast lift when I have reached goal weight and maintained for a while. I know I am old, but what the hell... I gave birth to 5 children and I'm tired of looking like it! I don't know if breast implants are affected by weight loss. I guess I would have to know more, becuase if you're still losing weight, you don't want your nice new boob job to sag. That would be very sad. I guess try and get as much info as you can and maybe another source besides the surgeon who will be doing the surgery. He may be good, but he sounds motivated by the almighty dollar! Someone asked about software for recording diet. I like dietpower.com. Everyone is doing so well. CONGRATULATIONS!

Chickie: I went to your links and was very impressed! What a journey you have been on. I am half way to my goal and can't wait to lose the skin. How long did you wait to have ps after you reached goal weight? Was it all worth it?

"Horefrost" is the frost that gets all over the branches of the trees and sparkles in the sunlight. Maybe I can get a picture and attach it. Hmm. I'll work on it!
-
I weigh every day, too! It can make you crazy, but I like to see what's happening plus I put my weight into my Diet Power software when I record what I've eaten everyday. I snowshoed for 45 minutes today. Yes, Utah had lots of snow dumped on us yesterday. It felt great to get outside. The trees had horefrost all over them. It was so beautiful. I'm really bushed. My software program said that I burned 450 calories with that activity. Not bad?

Synicalchick: Thanks for the information. It's interesting and makes sense. I think that massage works on the same principle.
-
Sandranoelle: Look in your private emails section. I have a problem with my doctor and need to know about yours.
-
Shell: How frustrating for you! I hope you'll keep checking in with the September bandsters. Your signature says you have lost a total of 17 pounds. That's good. What does your doctor say about your progress? Are you losing inches or having any other non-scale victories? Are you getting in 60-80 grams of protien a day and 25 grams of fiber? I find it extremely helpful to keep track of my calories and exercise. I use a software program called Diet Power. You can get a free 2 week trial online. If you are having trouble with meat, than I would rely on protien powder for a while until your esophaugus calms down. I personally really like the brand called "Matrix." It's mild and has a good combination of protien without too many carbohydrates. Anyway, I wish you the best. Don't give up! I have been the same weight for the last 3 weeks so I know how you feel!
-
MimIn: Please log me in at 203. Do you want weight loss after this just like last time? Also, should we make an exercise goal of hours per week or some other way? Thanks for doing this. It really is helpful. I get a fill tomorrow, I hope it helps and itsn't too much. I have been so hungry lately.

BJean: Most watet aerobics classes I've been to are full of overweight people and senior citizens. Try calling and then visiting a YMCA or a local sports mall, or recreation center. In Salt Lake there are water aerobics classes available at most recreation facilities. I'm telling you that you will really like it if you give it a try. MimIn: I'm impressed with all your hard work on our next challenge. You are going to town girl! Thanks!
-
BJean: What about water aerobics? That should be alright for your knees and it's a great workout. I hate sweating and in the water you can't tell if you do sweat. Anyway, just a thought.
-
MimIn: Let's do it! I want to lose 35 pounds by St. Patty's day for personal reasons. (A trip with my husbands business associates). Maybe that's not reasonalbe now that you have figured out the number of weeks, but let's do it! I need the motivation! I'm planning on getting a personal trainer the first week of January so some kind of exercise challenge would be great too!

"Pouch worthy" now that is funny! :heh: I have had a very stressful last few days. Good, but stressful. :girl_hug: Four of my adult children came home for the holidays and I have been cooking and doing and my doer is getting tired. I tried to make things simpler and my kids say that it just wouldn't seem like Christmas without this or that. I have been eating some sweets and today we had the big meal. I decided to eat whatever I wanted too. :faint: I enjoyed it, but I over ate and my pouch hurts. :cry I hope I didn't stretch it! I didn't make my goal by 3 pounds. I definetly want to set another goal. I vote for St. Patrick's Day. I would also like to log in exercise. I hope that everyone had a great Christmas. Let's keep up the chatter! Merry Christmas!
