Getting Ready for Spring Bootcamp

You are all doing awesome! It's nice to be associated with motivated banders! I did the treadmill for 45 minutes today at a 6% incline it felt good, but it was hard. I have been exercising in one form or another since July and exercise never gets easier. Is it suppose too? I don't feel like I'm getting in better shape, though I know I'm in a lot better shape than I was in July. Is it that subtle? I just don't feel as energetic and don't have the stamina that I had before the surgery. Do you think it's the calories or just all the changes that the body goes through? I'm complaining today. I guess I need some encouragement. Also, does anybody know a website that tells you have many calories are burned in different exercises? -
Glad your checking in TruBlueSue! Halfway there. Congratulations! Tami- I had popcorn yesterday too. Went to the movies with DH and couldn't resist his. I have been having a hard time eating cereal in the morning and meat all the time. It's getting a little old. I'm not has hungry though, so I guess there is the rub! Tradeoffs. It's not very fun. I'm trying to stay strong! Did my treadmill today. 45 minutes at a 6% incline. I never seems to get easier. I feel like complaining today! Well, I'm late for church and I don't really care, but my DH and daughter are already there, so I guess I better go...

Thanks for the info. I already record everything I eat on a software program called Diet Power. I'm pretty anal about it. I've used a pedometer before and quite liked it. Part of my exercise program right now is water aerobics. I don't suppose it's waterproof? Anyway, thanks for the info. I will check out the site and think hard about this. I'm thinking that when I hit another stinkin plateau that I might want to get this! You're an inspiration!

Puddin: I wish I could send your email to everyone I know who is considering WLS. You are a success story. I'm proud of you. You set your goal and you went for it! Way to go! Glad you doing so well. Now, please explain where and what a body bug is? Is it like a pedometer? While you've got the time LOL, please enlighten.

Getting Ready for Spring Bootcamp

Took a deep water aerobics class this morning at 6:30 am. Nothing like starting the day off right! -
April- What a bummer! Let's hope the little sticker springs back into place! Please don't despair. I will keep you in my prayers. If it doesn't go back, what is your game plan? Will you have it repaired? I threw up last week, for the first and I hope only time. It was awful and I think that if my band slipped, I would try and have it repaired, painful as that might be. It's the only thing that has worked for me. I wish you the best!

Puddin: Wow! I can't believe you're already back on the computer and feeling so good. Congratulations! I hope your recovery continues to go smoothly. I'm excited for you. Now don't use your down time to think about your ex. You deserve better. He should haven't loved you unconditionally or he isn't THE one. Read some good books, catch up on paper work, knit, scrapbook, etc. You are going to be a whole new person! Way to go! Way to be brave!

The point about the saline bottle clenches the argument. Who ever had this experience should let us know what ever happened!

April let us know what the doctor says. Yesterday, I jumped on the rebounder (mini-trampoline) and it kicked my butt. I couldn't finish the entire exercise video. That was a little discouraging since I have been exercising sense July. I am amazed what a work out it gives you. My stomach is really sore. Anyway, after that experience, I think I will once again put off getting a personal trainer, because I don't want to embarass myself. Today, I went to water aerobics for an hour. It was great. Food: B- 1 c. Kashi Go lean, 4 oz. milk, 1/2 banana, Pero S- 4 oz. Protien drink L- 3 oz. chicken breast, 1/2 c. sweet potato, 1/2 salad w/ drizzle of dressing S- Dannon Light & Crave 4 oz. yogurt, South Beach High Protein Cereal Bar D- Healthy Choice frozen dinner, apple

Kashi Go Lean cereal, 1/2 c. milk 4 oz. protien drink, 1/2 banana 3 oz. chicken breast, 1/2 c. sweet potato, 1/2 c. salad with a drizzle of dressing Dannon Lite & Crave yogurt, 4 oz. protien Dinner- Healthy Choice meal, plus apple -
April: I hope that you will be okay. PBing is awful. I had an episode last week. I threw up 3 times during this episode. My throat hurt for a few days. My doctor said that when this happens you need to go back a step and eat only soft food or liquids for a day and then proceed cautiously on step at a time to your regualr diet. That is what I did and I haven't had a nother episode. Thank goodness! Good luck! Keep us informed. You are probably just swollen from the trauma.

Who Has Lost Over 100 Pounds?!?!

Thanks for starting this thread. At 5 months post op, I'm half way there. Please all you 100 clubbers. Give us your wisdom and advice. It's great to see that it can be done, but tell us how you did it! Thanks! -
Okay, today I did a routine on a rebounder (mini-trampoline). I thought it would be fun. It was harder than any water aerobics class I've taken. I looked it up on this software program I have and it says that 20 minutes burns 351 calories. I believe it!

Laurend: I had a similar experienc. My surgeon said if I wanted to lose 100 lbs that I should have the RNY because statisically they lose more weight in the beginning. Within 5 years weight loss is better for banders. Then I found out that my surgeon's son had the lapband. Having a lapband and getting adjustments can be a pain, but it's a lot better than malnutrition. Do what you think is the best, that's what it always comes down to. Good luck!

Can't wait to see your pics! Happy healing! Here's to great pain meds and patience! Wish you the best.

Here's my Monday check in. Down 2 pounds. I exercised 5 days, snowshoeing twice, water aerobics twice, treadmill and bowflex. I want to get a personal trainer, but I'm afraid it will be too hard. Don't know why I'm such a big chicken. I want the results and I just need to do it. I guess choosing one seems hard, too. Congrats to everyone that are working so hard. I admire you guys!
