Brazilian Reconstruction?!?
kareyquilts replied to gjray's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
I saw a 20 20 special on plastic surgery in foreign countries. They also mentioned Cosmetic Vacations. The program was positive about the results, etc. You might go to there website and find the program information. I definetly want to have PS. Keep us informed. -
Josephine: I have been exercising alot and haven't lost any weight in 6 weeks. I also find that exercise increases my appetite. With that said, I feel much better and think that I may be losing inches. I think that the suggestion to start measuring yourself is a good one. Keep us informed and good luck with your trainer.

Puddin: Stay strong and remember the advice your mission president gave you. This guy might be a good guy (probably is), but he is disrepecting you.

You're doing great. Sounds like your being patient and not pushing the envelope, probably a good thing when you live with your surgeon! -
Puddin: Sounds like your mission president is a wise man. Good luck with the new guy. He sounds respectable and that's a good thing.

Getting Ready for Spring Bootcamp
kareyquilts replied to Teresita's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Went to water aerobics this morning it was a great workout. Plan on doing weights this afternoon and hopefully fitting in a nice walk after dinner. -
Tami: We stayed at the Paridius Palm Real in Punta Cana. It was very nice. It wasn't too hard not to over eat as I found a lot of the meat too hard to eat. I had a lot of golf ball experiences, so I had to be careful. I don't drink alcohol so that wasn't a temptation. Now, the desserts and ice cream were a temptation, so, I just allowed myself small tastes after eating my regular meal.

Who Has Lost Over 100 Pounds?!?!

losingjusme: Thanks for sharing your tips. I checked out your blog and it's awesome. I am exercising 5 days a week. I'm doing water aerobics and lifting weights a couple times a week. I think I need to get a personal trainer and get extremely serious about the exercise factor. I've been on a platueau for 6 weeks and it's really getting me down. It's helpful to see that other people have been successful! -
Mimin: I'm sure you're going to get use to your new bosum and make friends with it. I hope you're feeling better soon and are able to get back to exercising. That will make you feel much better emotionally and physically. My DH and I had a great time in the Dominican Republic. We stayed at an all inclusive resort. The resort had 8 restuarants and 7 swimming pools. It was beautiful and I really enjoyed just being with my husband. It's amazing what getting away from all the normal pressures can do for your sex life. We went snorkeling and for long walks on the beach. I attended a couple water aerobics classes and used the treadmill while there. I did not lose any weight or gain any. I guess that is a good accomplishment. Anyway, we got home on Sunday and my DH promptly got sick. I backed into my son's truck and now Mom's sick. I guess you enjoy the moments you can and wham it's back to reality!

I hope that you enjoy 24. I'm surprised you haven't peeked too much, but I'm not sure I would either. How is your pain doing? Are you feeling very emotional? I hear that is a strong component of the whole thing. -

Getting Ready for Spring Bootcamp
kareyquilts replied to Teresita's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I want to join boot camp again and recommit. I went to the Domincan Republic last week and we stayed at an all inclusive resort. All food and drinks were included. It was a lovely setting. I used the treadmill and went to there water aerobics classes two times. I had a hard time with some of the food (a lot of stringy mystery meat) and actually threw up once. That was not fun! Anyway, I managed to mantain my weight and not gain, with a lot of temptation around. I guess that is good. Right? I'm tired of this plateau and guess that I must recommit to measuring and increasing my exercise. I am reporting in at 187 and hope that this go around I can do better! -

JulieNYC's Extended Tummy Tuck and Breast Lift

Julie: My prayers and best wishes are also with you. What I love about quilting? I love a lot of things about quilting. I love the texture of the fabrics and the illusion of texture that you can create with fabric choices. I like combining colors and patterns. The creative side of quilting is limitless. From deciding on a quilt pattern, to choosing the fabrics, to modifying historical designs, to deciding on the actual pattern to quilt on to your finished quilt, etc. Quilting is a great past time. It takes up a lot of space for fabric storage however, because once you start quilting, you start hording fabric. It just comes with it or so it seems. Quilting can be messing. It's also very exacating. You have to cut things exactly right and you have to sew perfect 1/4 inch seams if you want your corners to line up perfectly. That part can get frustrating. If you send to be a perfectionist quilting can be frustrating and satisfying at the same time. There are some great quilting guilds in NYC, so after your all healed up, I would check them out or go to a quilt shop and take a class. God Bless you this week!
