Getting Ready for Spring Bootcamp
kareyquilts replied to Teresita's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Tann: You look hot! Doesn't it feel good? Turner: What happened with your food being stuck? I was worried about you and said a silent prayer for you. I sent you some suggestions, but I didn't seem them on the thread. This new system doesn't seem as reliable. Anyway, I hope everything turned out. I lost one pound this week! -
Mimin: Congrats on the size 8! I'm down 1 pound this week. Let's hope it keeps up!

I'd never heard that starvation mode was a controversial subject. I just believed what I was told. Interesting. While I wonder why the body has plaltueaus? Just to readjust? I am aback on track after the last 2 weeks of hit and miss. It feels good. I'm about to go and exercise. Talk with you soon. -

JulieNYC's Extended Tummy Tuck and Breast Lift

Julie: It's a deal then! I'm exicted. Thanks for the meal ideas. The calories seem a little low for all the exercise you're doing, but who can argue with sucess!? I never thought of combining the cottage and Fiber One. That sounds like a good plan. I'll keep you posted on my progress. Good luck! -
BJean: Congrats on the weight loss! Yeah! I hope your progress continues. My daughter dances in San Francisco for Project Bandaloop (see highlights video, Project Bandaloop Home) She was dancing for a grand opening of a Westin Hotel. They were dancing at about the 15th floor. I watched her practice the day before the performance and about had a heart attack, but I met the professional riggers and they explained how they keep her safe and I almost enjoyed the performance. It was really very joyful, but my video tape didn't capture it too well.

How is weight loss for people over 50?
kareyquilts replied to debi717's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Sounds like everyone is doing well. I have been on vacation and I have sort of lost my drive for dieting, but today I worked out in the pool and I'm going to call a personal trainer this afternoon. I can no longer put it off. It's back to work. I wish it was still easy to lose the weight, but I guess I'm going to have to work at it to get this last 40 pounds off! Keep posting here. I love everyone's comments. -
JulieNYC's Extended Tummy Tuck and Breast Lift

Julie: You're a sweetheart! I'll keep you posted on my progress. I'm going to get a personal trainer next week. I can honestly say that the last 2 weeks I have not been on my program. We went to Costa Rico on a vacation and then I came back to 15 house guests to feed and entertain, so I was very good. But before that I still hadn't lost any weight in 6 weeks and I was exercising (water aerobics and weight lifting) and recording everything I ate. I was averaging 1250 calories a day. Now I am back on my program and ready to roll. I purchased a Body bugg and I'm going to get serious about things! I want to reciperacate though, what could I send you from Utah when you meet a mini goal? Also, you didn't mention your actual diet. What is a typical day of eating like for you? Thanks again. You really are an inspiration! -
You guys are inspiring to try a spinning class! I'm so nervous that I won't be able to do it, but I guess I won't know if I don't try. I do water aerobics everyday, but it's really getting too easy, even though I love it.

Amy thaniks for including me in the next challenge. I'm going to get a personal trainer next week and really attack my last 40 pounds. It seems way harder to get off that the first 60! I just wanted to share a video of my daughter on UTube. She is the dancer on the far right. If the picture is a little shaky it's because I was so nervous. She was dancing on a skyscraper! I hope I'm not bragging too much. Here is the link: -
Welcome Shell! We all need support. Okay, I wanted to share a video on U Tube that has my daughter dancing on the side of a skyscraper. I think I told you all that she is an aerial dancer. Well, I finally figured out how to put this on U Tube. My daughter is the dancer on the far right. Here is the link. I hope I'm not bragging too much. I just love her to pieces (whether she was a dancer or not).

JulieNYC's Extended Tummy Tuck and Breast Lift

Julie: Wow! You are so lucky to have your dad to advise you. I have been on a platueau for the last 2 months and I'm getting frustrated. How did you avoid platueauing and get such awesome results? I really want to know. What is your diet like? I know that you exercise alot. Are you still doing that? I know you had some down time after the surgery, so how was it to get back into exercising? I would really appreciate your help. You are a shining star. You've done so well. I seem to be losing my way even though I'm trying to do it all right. I'm starting with a personal trainer next week which should help. Thanks for any help you can give me. -
BJean: Congratulations on the exercise program and your NSV! Way to go! I too love this site. It helps me so much. Platueau's are awful, but I guess they are a necessary evil. I'm going to start my Body Bugg and personal trainer next week. I guess it's time. My body is getting too use to water aerobics. Time to shake things up a bit. MarieCarmen: Good luck with your hysterectomy. If I were you I would have the tummy tuck at the same time. Be prepared for some recovery time. When I had my hysterectomy at age 35, I needed almost the entire 6 weeks they suggested. You might as well recover from a tummy tuck at the same time! Shell: Glad you're doing better! I bet you feel relieved! Keep us posted. We're here for you! Mimin: No wait loss this week. .*!**!,*!.>

Spydr: You're looking good. Thanks for sharing. I'm glad that your healing well. I'm going to ask a personal question and of course you can chose not to answer it. I'm wondering if you have any sensation in your nipples? There I asked it. Thanks. -

Turner, glad your mom is doing better. I have been out of town for the last little while. We went to Costa Rica and visited a cousin. It was great but I gained 2 pounds. Oh well, I'm going to keep trying. I want to be in the next challenge. I noticed the stats chart and saw that mine didn't have any numbers. I started at 254. I weigh 182. I want to weigh 145. I have 37 pounds to go. I am going to get a personal trainer next week and make the last push. I can do it. I'm just going to make that my personal mantra. -
BJean: I hope they accept you into the program. That would really be great! Sending positive vibes your way.
-
Mimin: Congratulations! You are doing awesome! I went to Costa Rica this past week to visit my cousin. Just got back this morning at 2 am. We had a wonderful time. The country is beautiful, the water safe, didn't get stung by any jelly fish. It was great. I also didn't lose any weight or gain. I went to water aerobics this morning and I am back on track. That is the wonderful thing about the band. Love it.
-
Puddin: Way to go! So glad that you are overcoming your urges and staying true to yourself. I wish you the best now and always.

Sypdr: Glad you're back and doing alright! -
Minin: I'd give yourself a couple more days and stay on liquids for another day and then go to mushies. You might have some swelling that will go away. Of course if you can't stand it then I'd go in, but they may have trouble getting out just the 1 cc. It's terrible to PB. I had a fill last week and had a pill get stuck too. I find that the tightness of band varies day to day. Good luck!
-
BJean: I upped my calories by 200 and decreased my exercise and I lost weight this week. Go figure! Maybe it's time to see your nutrionist?
