    5 miles today--loving the run

    WoW thats great!! Good joB~~~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. What your going thru is normal, I was terrified, I have kids, family etc. but the surgery wasnt really that bad. i am a little over 5 weeks and havent regretted it for a minute. You can talk yourself out of the surgery and keep going on in life on the yo yo diets that we all have done-only to gain it all back + more. This works!! let me know if you want or need anymore info.

PamelaAM, Sorry to hear about your blood pressure. I do know that sodium increases your blood pressure, so along with the ice cream, add extra salt with your foods. Good luck! And OMG 21 lbs in less than 2 weeks!! GREAT JOB!!!!!!

  9. what's on my mind? JASON ALDEAN!!! LOL

  10. ( Magui, This happened to me up til day 10 lost 21 pounds, then nothing....nothing...nothing.... for 11 days- then I absolutely made sure I was getting in 60-70 Protein sometimes more (there were some days I was taking in 40 gr protein), and making sure I got my liquid intake 64oz. Then couple days later I started losing again. I would suggest go over all you eat, re-read the nut values on pkgs. Make sure your getting your protein & Water, and just wait it out, your body is adjusting...

  13. I dont think many people like change... I'm sure once we get used to it -we'll be happier

  14. UGH I HATE THIS FEELING!! this is exactly what I experience, you just have to measure your food. (I was taught to always clear my plate and I can see what aweful thing that was!) I always measure and my sleeve may be okay with that but other times its just too much. I am working on 1 TBSP less than 1/4 cup for each meal 3x day. Good luck!!

  22. I'm on day 22 and at a stall (my stall started about 10 days out) BUT if you read Maddie's post (link below) http://verticalsleevetalk.com/post-operation-vertical-sleeve-gastric-surgery-vsg-questions-answers/8349-stall-s.html THIS REALLY HELPED ME UNDERSTAND WHATS GOING ON IN YOUR BODY WHEN YOUR LOSING! HANG IN THERE IT WILL BREAK! Lots of people here went thru stalls and always say the scale will start to move again.. Good luck!
  23. 1)Do you drink coffee? 2)If so, what do you put in it? 3)How much do you drink per day? I miss my coffee so much, but afraid if I drink it, the caffeine will harm me or increase my hunger?? is this true?

    30-40 grams of carbs??

Buttercup, I am at 3 weeks out. this is what I eat. dinner I may change it up a bit but not much. Protein shakes really help! Good luck! BKFST: string cheese: 60 cals, 1 carb, 8 protein Mid AM: GNC Amp protein shake: 2 scoops 140 cals, 4 carbs, 30 protein Mid AM: Soy light vanilla milk: 1/2 cup, 80 cals, 10 carbs, 6 protein Lunch: Tofu (1 slice): 30cals, 0 carbs, 8 protein Lunch: Oikos greek yogurt 1 tbsp. 8cals, 1carb, 1 protein another Protein Drink same as Mid AM w/ soy milk Dinner: 1/2 can canned chicken white meat, 60cals, 1carb, 13protein This will give you 558 cals, 24 carbs, 97 protein (I know it high but you can adjust the shakes if you want.) Now I dont know if this is exactly right for you as I am adjusting as well. Hope it helps tho.
