    September sleevers wanted!

wow this is great to know so many are on this journey, now I dont feel so alone...Right now, I get the 'are you doing the right thing/am I ready for this' thoughts, just happened right after I got the call with the surgery date that Ive been waiting since February for! I just redirect my thoughts to the new healthy me...
  8. hi there! just wanted to check on you and see how your doing???? FINALLY got my surgery date - Sept. 17,2010 WOO HOO~! please update me on your progress!!

  9. Just thought I'd give you the news, I've got my date!! Sept. 17th!! WOO HOO, still hurting a little from previous surgery but I see the light...

  10. hey girl! Thanks for asking, I am doing good. June 30 had a open total hysterectomy :(. Just have to wait a few months to get my sleeve! SOOOOOO glad you are doing good & you love your sleeve. Hows the weight loss going?

  11. so sorry to hear, I too had infertility issues and no insurance. At 40 decided to dump the idea of ever being pg. last wednesday, had a total radical hysterectomy due to severe endometriosis. i did adopt 3 siblings and although i still crave to hold a bio child, i am very blessed. My advice is to keep going forward fighthing this-have no regrets, you will know when its time to stop.
  12. hello everyone! to update you, i had surgery june 30th, NOT the sleeve :( I had to get a total radical hysterectomy b/c of endometriosis. I will be gettin my sleeve date soon probably 3 months. I'm so glad you all are doing well. i will keep you posted on me, PLEASE keep me posted. XO

  13. girl, I'm soooo happy for you. Havent got the sleeve yet:( found out i have severe endometriosis and have to get that taken care of first (surgery is June 30-wish me luck). PLEASE let me know how things are going. -

  14. well today I have been told by my insurance co Anthem BCBS that I have been denied b/c sleeve is 'not medically necessary' which is confusing to me b/c I am 100 pounds overweight, BMI 41 and being treated for high blood pressure. When I spoke to BCBS, they told me that my provider should contact them for more information on the 'not medically necessary', that right now there was nothing more that I can/should submit. Ok but I know I've read on here how ppl submit letters of appeal!! I'm so confused, SOO depressed~ I have tried to have positive thoughts all this time just to be let down. Please give me any help you may have, including letters of appeal! I will fight for one more denial/approval but then I will bow out, I wont put myself thru this emotional roller coaster:scared0:. Thank you in advance-
  15. This is another update to the http://verticalsleevetalk.com/tell-your-story/3656-so-lost-what-do-you-do.html I started but wanted to title it with endometriosis in the title, if anyone is annoyed I apologize ahead of time.. UPDATE: April 6th, dr went in to romove one ovary seen how advanced my endometriosis was and immediately closed me back up. UGHHHH!!!!!!!!!! I am stage 4 of endo. this puts everything to a halt once again. Endometriosis is a disease that lives off of horomnes the ovaries produce. Endo acts like rock hard glue and glues all your organs together, if left untreated, it can pentrate your bowels, intestines. Post op consul. dr again said i am in bad shape in there and need to do a total hysterectomy. Dr said that the endo has attached itself to my bowels, appedix and intestines, that my ovaries have fused themselves together, dr will need the assistance of a de vinci machine..after the hysterectomy she will not give me hormones for 6 months & that all other endo should die off. My surgery date for hysterectomy is 6/30/2010. I am 43 years old, have always had normal periods, but painful ones all my life, since 15. after going to several drs for pain, i was told the pain was normal- just take more nsaids. i fought infertility after many drs/tests i was told that all is normal and theres no reason i shouldnt be pg. just keep trying. my advice to anyone is dont trust anyone, do your own research, get second opinions, listen to others who have been there... HERE IS A LINK TO MY JOURNEY ON UTUBE... God bless... http://www.youtube.com/user/determinedtobethin1

Mini!! If you look back at your years of dieting, yes you probably lost weight, BUT you always gained it back~ look at it now, you wont gain it back, the pounds gone are gone forever!!! You see ppl here that go thru a time where the losing stops but just keep up the great work, your body has been thru so much and just catching up now, the losing will start again~ Keep your chin up girl -your doing great~

what i feared the most has happened:(

you guys are so great! Thank you! Jeani & Linda~~ yes they did finally approve me and I will help you in any way I can. Why did they deny you? Anthem denied me stating that it was "medically unnecessary" but I when I questioned it (my bmi over 40 & high blood pressure)Anthem said that they actually denied me because they didnt see my height & weight in the submission!!? When I called Drs office, they called Anthem and told them where to look on the paperwork & that it was in there all along so my paperwork went back in front of the review and was approved!! OMG talk about doing their job for them! Furthermore, Drs office said that this wasnt the first time Anthem denied and a call or appeal changed their minds!! SO FIGHT GIRLS! I'M ON YOUR SIDE, EMAIL ME IF I CAN HELP YOU.
  24. Hi Jean, I had just a taste of the feeling you get when you're denied, this site has helped me so much & I dont even have a date yet! Stay strong, in time I believe all insurance co will approve this. MOST OF ALL~ dont count on anyones word, double check everyones paperwork. Youre in my thoughts, good luck! Keep me posted..

what i feared the most has happened:(
