How about an accountability partner or a support group. I know that blogging helps but I know that meeting face to face with someone that holds me to my word is a lot harder and makes me want to do this journey better. It sounds like you are going through emotional eating. Chocolate used to make you feel better so your brain is trying to recapture that feeling even though the moment you put it in your mouth you want to puke. That is where an accountability partner comes in, call that person instead of putting the chocolate in your mouth. I understand the emotional eating, I was in a dark hole after my dad died in June. My best friend pulled me out by holding me accountable for what i was doing to my body. I started going to support group meetings ever week. That is when I was introduced to a weight loss meal plan called Bandtastic Meals that has helped my struggles at work. Instead of the chocolate I would use those meals and drinking tons of water to satisfy the mental and physical cravings. Hope this helps. I know you talked about getting ice cream when your husband is not around but call him next time you want to do that and ask for his help. Men are fixers by nature let him have that job instead of eating that ice cream.

Go to the picnic section of Wal-Mart or Target, they have sets of kid silverware that are not for babies but for kids. I have those and it really helps.

I understand the appeal of cheap baby food but if you read the article from the link below you will see that baby food has little if any nutritional value. I hope you are also factoring in the amount of sugar those types of food have in them. Cheating babies - most of Gerber's baby food products have poor nutritional value, despite misleading advertising claims - Brief Article | Nutrition Action Healthletter | Find Articles at BNET Just know the nutritional value of that type of food before you start stepping backward instead of making progress in the weight loss journey.

Where do you buy your food/nutritional supplements?

I am also about to be banded, several of my friends have either been banded or by-passed and we have started ordering food from Bandtastic Meals. They did a tasting at our support group meeting last month, it was fabulous food and portion controlled for weight loss surgery patients on our special diets. Because of that tasting we have been doing the meals for a month and we have all seen a steady loss of weight. As for supplements I go to my local health food store, they have a specialist she helps me stay on a good course of supplements that fit my special needs. Supplement are so individual that you really need to talk to a specialist. -
I tried the starvation thing but it seemed like i was gaining instead of lossing, so I talked to a trainer he told me that your body goes into a form of shock and it starts holding onto everything you eat because it does not know when the next meal is coming. That is why your body actually gains weight instead of lossing. I started eating from a meal plan delivery service called Bandtastic Meals and i have seen a huge improvement in my weight loss journey. Let me know what you think. Contess

Share ideas, What did you eat today ?

What I am eating today for lunch is tortilla chicken from Bandtastic Meals. I carry one of their pre-done meals every day for lunch. They are quick, easy and I dont have to worry about other people in the office asking weird questions about my new eating habitats. -
Cool, let me know how it works out for you, my friends and I love that stuff. I know at first it seems pricey but once you calculate it out per day and per meal and winds up being cheaper.

I am a total fish lover, every pregnancy I craved Salmon like crazy. If you have heard of Bandtastic Meals, they have a great Mahi Mahi and an even better baked Salmon. I totally understand the portion sizes in restaurant dilemma, i think it is a huge reason why people overeat. I know growing up my parents always told me eat everything on your plate and now i an adult I catch myself saying that to my kids or trying to eat everything on my plate even when I obviously full. Hope this helps. Contess -
