two years ago i tried to qualify for the lap band through my insurance and was turned down because i was fat, but not fat enough! this past december i was contacted by a nurse that said my insurance now had the highest approval rate, so i decided to try again. i was approved within a week! i have been steady at around 230lbs. and so misserable! before the sugery i was told by my doctor that i was borderline diabetic, what he called diet controlled. ive had back and feet problems and just hated being as big as i was. i had the surgery on january the 7th, my 33rd birthday, just 3 weeks ago. i new it was going to be tough, but if i had it to do over, i wouldnt! ive thrown up at least 2 times every day! i wake up about an hour before im suppose to get up for work to throw up! i hate this. i cant eat anything! i have my soups and protien shakes, my crystal light water. ive tried to start with something a little thicker, but i cant do it. i expect to get sick if i overload my pouch, but first thing in the morning, sometimes in the middle of my morning shower, i will get sick. and, its all stomach acids and burns my throat sooo bad that i struggle to breath! i cant eat real food but i can have a 3 musketeers! whats up with that! i hate to give up so soon, but i havent even had my first fill and i want food. not bad food, just any food. i feel hungry and deprived, and always sick! honestly, i want this thing outa me!!!! i hear how well it works for others and yes i lost 15lbs in 2 weeks, but youd lose a lot of weight too if you couldnt eat or threw everything up! are things guna change? should i hold out for things to get better? is this normal? i dont know what to do!
