Sore stomach after fluid taken out

Hi, yes acid reflux every couple of hours if I didn't have a hot drink gurgled like a drain, never felt content after eating because I usually gave up! Liquids only wasn't mentioned. Hmmmmm I think I'll see if it settles down for a few days before I consider a endoscopy! Lol doesn't sound good!!! It was only adjusted on Tuesday so it's still early days. Thank you xx -
Hi, I've had to have Fluid removed from my band as I couldn't eat much of anything The surgeon removed 3 1/2 and I can eat! I know I'll have to be careful but as I'm haveing to re-learn healthy eating I decided to make it easier on myself. If I can't cope i'll just have to restrict again. My query is, is it normal for my stomach to feel sore? I can eat and drink but I'm achy and sore where the band is. I'm scaring myself by thinking 'corrosion'! Thanks peeps xx

Wow! Thank you for such wonderful advice! And no boob job! Yet! With all my saggy bits you never can tell what I'll have touched up once I reach my goal weight! We have flown since the band fill so I always prepare with warm drink before or even a light meal so there is no need for drinks on the plane but as I had been told the 4 hour rule it's only ever been short flights!! Not anymore, the whole world has just opened up! Thank you! Yay!

Hi, I had my lad band fitted a little over 2 years ago. I have managed to lose almost 7 stone now and am much happier but it has been a struggle, I'd be lying to myself and to you if I said it had been easy! It seems that my band is either not working and I lose no weight or it appears too tight and I can hardly eat but, obviously, lose weight. my last fill was July last year and I still struggle with losing weight. Eating Protein is a problem as I struggle to get it through, I lose interest in the food and stop eating. This means I have little energy so excersie is an issue. I'm now saggy and want to tone up but the slightest excersie and I'm dizzy and faint Anyway, this is not what I came on here to discuss, sorry for my whinging We are about to book our annual holiday, I remember flights should be kept to 4 hours or less. What happens if there are delays and the flight time is over this? I'm quite terrified the bloomin band will burst or something as catastrophic? Any advice would be gratefully appreciated Thanks. Lu x

Band fill - smaller hole??
BelindaLu replied to BelindaLu's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thanks guys - it's so good to know when your not alone, aint it!! The fill went well, I went from 5.4 to 6 which doesn't seem an awful lot to me. I'm expecting miracles I suppose, wait and see - hopefully I'll be one of the lucky ones and have good restriction on this for now!! Thanks again -
Hi - I have also been getting a hiccup like feeling but am not sure if it's a kinda burp or a hiccup? But I get them when I haven't eaten too so it's also a sign for me that I need to have something to eat if I've left it too long. At least that's what I think my body is telling me? As yet I have not had Breakfast but don't feel hungry yet I've had the hiccupy thing happen half a dozen times occasionally. It's not like continuous hiccups for 10 ins or anything just once or twice every now and then. Anyone have anything similar? Ta guys

Hi - I've had 1 band fill using the x-ray thingy and really felt no restriction. The clinic have phoned to schedule in my secong fill and have told me that alot of people don't feel restriction on the first fill. Tomorrow I am going for my second fill and am hoping for restriction so that I can start loosing weight again as I seemed to plateau. Can anyone tell me if they fill the band does this mean the whole that the food passes through gets smaller too? I'm presuming it does but it has taken long enough to learn to chew enough to get the food down now so I just wanna confirm if I have to re-learn how much is too much again!! Any help would be gratefully appreciated. Thnx all xx

Due for 1st fill - what does it feel like?
BelindaLu replied to BelindaLu's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Ok - had my 1st fill and don't know why I was so scared now!! He just put the needle in after cleaning but I felt no pain at all! YAY! Thanks all - I needed all the advice and was prepared for the worst case scenario, glad not one bad thing happened. Take care, Lu x:thumbup: -
Hi all, I was just reading a thread about this issue, how do you know if you have over stretched your pouch? I'm having trouble with stopping when full, it's like my old habits, learnt over many years are difficult to wean from and I have eaten until too full, you know that yuck feeling, and you know youve gone too far. I'm using a side plate instead of a dinner plate and am eating significantly less but on the days that I'm using food as a crutch I'm really scared I've gone too far and caused problems. I'll feel so stupid as I don't want to muck this up . Actually, how do you know if your band has slipped? Blimey, I could go on for hours, sorry guys n gals. Lu x

600-800 cals a day! I'd be dead!! Blimey huni, only my opinion but I'm pretty sure you can't be getting enough calories a day. I was only banded last month but I was told by the doc to have 1000-1100 cals a day and I have a slow metabolism. I think you should up your calorie intake and see if you can do a little more exercise, maybe do something fun like salsa so you won't feel like your doing another stint in the gym! I wanna do belly dancing, I most certainly have the belly for it

Hi all - just wondering but does anyone know how they decide if you should have a small, medium or large bad when installing? I have a small one but what if I need more restriction than it allows? Does that mean I just fail to reach a target? It appears to me that it is much harder and more informative in America to get the surgery - I had mine done in England, no insurance necessary just pay up and lay down! I have an information pack to get along with but it tells me what to do but I'm the kinda person who needs to understand why I should or shouldn't do something! I wish I had more help beforehand. Take care all, xx
