So I am starting to wonder if my band has slipped.....or if I am just eating because I am bored. I started a New Years Resolution and it included not taking phentermine's and redbull daily for energy....So here I am and now I am constantly eating. So my question is what does it feel to have a slipped band....Can you tell when it slips? I don't have the pain or anything like that..Just seems like I am constantly eating. I am scared, because I have no insurance anymore...So everything is out of pocket for me. How much does it cost to have fixed if it is slipped? Like today, I have eaten and eaten...and I do feel full. But in bout and hour I will prolly eat again..I am at 7ccs and don't feel the restriction like I did when i was at 7ccs before. (Overfilled and had to take all out and start over again). Is it possibly a slippage? Or is it prolly all in my head?

WoW! I dunno...I have had it to where I can't get anything down, not even my saliva, but that is because I was overfilled...(Scary situation!! I lost 4lbs overnite). But I called my Doc and they had me come in ASAP. I really hope you got in for an emergency appt. I would say stick it out....If it has not slipped, maybe they can take a lil more out, then get to your goal and have them take more out and just try to maintain. I know out of all the things I have been through, although nothing as drastic as that, I would do this 100 times over again.....but I say that now, I might have to change my mind later. I hope all goes well with your band! =-.) Keep me posted, so I can know more and know what to look for in the future.

WoW! You have only lost a total of 30? What has your Doctor said about that? I have lost like 35 since I got banded. I know I don't always eat healthy, but still. Do you feel restriction? How many CC's are you at? That is kinda odd......Do you excersise like you should? I know I don't...So no judgement if you don't.

Thanks guys for your replies!!! Had an emergency Doc appt yesterday. He said it was fine, and I that I needed more in...So now at 7.6ccs. And ready to keep positive and move on.... =-.) Sue, how exactly do they know if the band has slipped tho?

Ok, so had my gallbladder out on the 18th of June and found out I am allergic to band-aids..Which is weird, this came outta no where..I have never had a problem...But seems like I healed just find even tho I was a lil red and did something weird to my skin......So then on June 30 I finally had my lapband surgery, and did fine. But when I changed my bandages, seems the allergy came back even worse (I thought maybe the last time was a fluke, so I would try a different band-aide).....and I don't seem to be healing the same with this surgery....I just had a discharge last Saturday around my band incision and went to doc he said it was normal. Is my body's way of telling me the stitches need to come out. Well still had a lil gap where it had not healed, but seems to be like scabbing over and closing (Gross I know). I haven't used any bandages since the 3rd and I am still red and itchy like crazy. It's even worse when I shower. Could it have been caused from a different type of stitch? Which would probably wouldn't be cuz the incision right below my chest was perfectly find. Granted it was only 2 stiches, not 4 like the other 2 infected areas. I have cleaned with peroxide and I put a triple antiobiotic cream on as often as I can. Is this normal? Or an I doing something wrong?

Ok, so I was banded on June 30th. At first I was really scared to even drink, let alone eat..Well I started out slow, and then actually got brave and ate a little here and there...Got nauseous a few times and almost threw up, but luckily I made myself not....Well seems like I am all better, and trying to stick with my liquid diet, but I am still getting hungry. Luckily, not like I used to, but I am afraid I am not gonna lose weight if I eat. I am excited for my first fill, but then again scared that I am gonna screw this up....What is it like after your first fill? What do you eat after? Or what can you eat? Am I more susceptible to throw up? If anyone can tell me about their experiences, I would greatly appreciate. Or give me some pointers to help me out with a making the right decisions.

I am one week from surgery and my shoulder STILL hurts....How long till it goes away???? Oh, and I constantly feel like I need to burp, is this common too??? I am not regretting this at all, just need to know of I need to get used to this and for how long...LOL:smile:

Well hopefully it eventually goes away...Today was irritating...

Other than those things, I really don't have any other problems....Luckily for me, I was out and about that same day and walking around each day, going to cookouts and to the store and things.......Good luck to you ladies! :confused: Wish you all the best!!

I actually got banded yesterday also. I am so surprised that I am not in more pain. Had my gallbladder out 2 weeks ago and was in some major pain there. Do have the gas buildup and my shoulder ache a little along with my tummy. But other than that, I am fine! Good luck with the future!

Sad to say I have cheated a few times...For the most part been healthy type foods. Had to have my gallbladder out last Friday and being on a liquid diet that day was pretty hard, since couldn't make my broth in the car, drink a cold shake, or have jello...So ate a few fries and a teeny tiny bite of my husband's hamburger. Hopefully my cheating doesn't cancel my surgery for Wednesday. Going to the fair today and gonna resist the tempation to get back on track.
