Anyone know of Dr De Bruyne Chris

Evening All Well Paul will have arrived by now and be tucked up safe and sound at the hotel awaiting his big day - if you are online paul I wish you all the best and look forward to catching up with you next week. Its now only 4 more sleeps until the big day and I can't believe how nervous I feel...... imagine everyone felt the same as I do before their big day. Still got the chronic indigestion but think that is more the nerves than anything else, gaviscon is my new best friend but not making much of a difference. Pre-op diet has been up and down - been on salads for days now but worried that I have not been strict enough and it will impact on the surgery I am one of they people who worry when they have nothing to worry about......

Hi J The price I paid was 4150 euros - you have to send 500 euros deposit and then pay the rest on arrival at hotel the night before the operation. I finish work tomorrow yeeha and then fly out on Thursday ready for the operation on Friday - feeling a mixture of nerves and excitement at the moment but really want to get it over and done with and start my journey to the new me Hope you get it all sorted out K xx

Hi Juliana You can email the doc direct but probably best to contact his sidekick frederik - frederik.serneels@ecfs.be he will be able to tell you about available dates etc. Also offers a package which includes surgery, hotel and taxis from airport and to and from hospital-hotel - much cheaper than going through a booking agent Frederik is really helpful and will answer all the questions you have - if you need anything else let me know Thanks Kerry

:smile2: Getting worried now - less than a week to go till the big day and starting to get more anxious as each day closes. Got terrible heartburn/indigestion - probably just worry but in pain all the time with it and panicking they won't operate..... Pre-op diet has been a total disaster - not been able to stop eating all week - think its psychological - gonna have it now cos ain't gonna have it again - did anyone else experience this? Just keep thinking this time next week it will all be over and I can start my new life:unsure:

Hi Paul I can tell that your getting excited now about getting your op - I suppose I am too - mixed with nerves of course. Started pre-op diet today but not gone too well - wondering if I should be honest with folk at work and tell them why I need to stick to the diet instead of giving in and eating sweeties and stuff with them - worried what they will say about it How are things going with you?

Hi Splatt Did you not book with Dr Chris - taxis are covered in the fee's. How has day one gone on the pre-op diet, I started off well but ended in disaster. Have got terrible indigestion and heart burn too - feel like something is lodged in the back of my throat - drinking Gaviscon like its going out of fashion - worried that if i dont get rid they won't operate...... How you feeling about getting op? I shift between worried sick and can't wait - just want to get started but worried something will go wrong - suppose everyone feels like that. Talk soon Kerry

Hey Guys Pre-op diet has been a disaster - was my birthday and everyone at work bought me chocs, champagne and a huge birthday cake - would have been rude not to help them eat it. I have started with chronic indigestion this week - been taking zantac and swallowing gaviscon like water but nothing helping - anyone got any ideas. Have always been bothered with it but want to get rid before I go for op in 2 weeks time Thanks Kerry

Hi think this must be a common worry amongst the partners. I know my other half is having the same worries although not been vocal about them yet. Think re-assuring them should help - your not with them because your overweight and can't get anyone else - your with them because they are the love of your life

I have been to my own GP today to talk it through with him, he has put my mind at rest I think. Had email from Dr Chris too saying available for 2nd march -oh my god - now that it all seems to be going ahead my stomach is in knots. Your notes have been great and I am sure I will be absolutely fine - born worrier - just cant help.it. How long will I be off work for - need to book holidays. Does anyone know if direct flights to BRU from Edinburgh I can feel my hands shake as I type this - mixture of excitement and sheer terror I think Thanks Kerry (Scooby Doo)
