Congratulations on taking the step and getting your surgery date. I was banded 2.4.10 I've not lost ALOT yet, but still feel like its the best thing I have ever had done for ME. I wish you luck in your journey! Peggy

I am going through something right now where i just REALLY want a diet pepsi......I'm about 8 weeks out.....13 pounds down since surgery...doing ok......just want a diet pepsi.. Does it hurt to drink a little soda every now and then?

I was banded 2.4.10..........5 lbs and I'll be under 300....... down 35 lbs ( 13 of that's since surgery) thanks for all your advice and positive comments!

Go to walmart........I could not do the powder protein at all. I buy the EAS low carb chocolate fudge/dark chocolate/or strawberry. they have 17 grams of protein....takes a couple to get use to the taste, but I can handle them! Best when real cold! Good luck, let me know how it goes! Peggy

Krystal, hang in there....I was nervous up until they put me out, wondering.....am I sure I am doing the right thing? I'm almost 8 weeks out and I am sooooooo happy I stuck with it. I've lost 13 lbs since surgery........could be more, but I am learning to work with my band everyday. I know its not a fix-all, its a tool. So I am happy with my decision. I know its tough, but hang in there! I personally could not do the protein powder AT ALL. I went to Walmart and got the EAS Protein shakes (low carb) they are in the pharmacy area by the slimfast etc......I like the chocolate fudge and dark chocolate......strawberry is ok too. I was banded 2/4/10 and its the best thing I've done for myself in a long time. I'm down 13 lbs since surgery, but actually down a total of 35 since the process started. 12 of that was my pre op diet. I was 317 the day of surgery. 5 More lbs and I will be in the 200's..... Thats great girls! You are doing wonderful. I am 1 1/2 months out and have lost 10 lbs and Some inches because I am down to a 2x pants from a 3x......I'd love to see the rotation diet too!

Congratulations! Keep up the great work! Seems you are using your "tool" to the best advantage. Good Luck with your journey. I was banded on the 4th of Feb. Go for my 1st fill on the 8th of march. I've lost 9 lbs since surgery.

Woo Hoo! Thats great! I too got that question MANY times over. My response came from my husband: I've lost many times with different diets and gained back that and more. With the band.....I have the tool to continue the loss and keep it off!" People just don't understand! Good Luck! I was banded 2/4/2010.........pre surgery 317 and now 308.....1st fill scheduled for the 8th of March.

Congratulations! I'm happy for you. I was banded on the 4th of February.....I am so glad I made the choice to do this. Several people from my place of employment had the gastric by pass, but I couldn't bring myself to re route my insides that way so opted for the lap band. I've only lost 9 lbs since surgery, but I am ok with that! Good luck with your journey! I wish you the best!

Thanks so much! I just ordered the orange too! Major trouble in getting my protein all in! Been buying the dark chocolate EAS, which I have grown to "like"....but its only 17 grams protein and 11 oz to drink. Really anxious to try something different! Thanks again! BTW I was banded on 2/4/2010....have lost 9 lbs.

Hi all.........I'm on my pre-op diet and have my surgery Thursday February 4th! I am so excited!:bored: Any advice for me re: the day before surgery? Or the day of surgery? Anything I definately should or shoulnot do? Thanks!
