  2. Happy 33rd Birthday spaceycasey!

  3. I am pro-life and would have a baby if I were raped b/c I believe it is life. However, I do not hold it against my friends who have had abortions, and 4 of my very close friends have had them. Thankfully I had a man to marry and hold fast to when we got pregnant. But all in all i believe it is an ill of society, and reminds me of this quote by Mattie Brinkerhoff in 1869: "When a man steals to satisfy hunger, we may safely conclude that there is something wrong in society - so when a woman destroys the life of her unborn child, it is an evidence that either by education or circumstances she has been greatly wronged."
  4. Really all you have to do is exactly what the doctors say because they know what all the insurance companies want to see. Your doctors office should be submitting the papers for you, you shouldn't have to do anything! Your BMI really just has to be over 40 and I believe its like 5 years of weight history they look for also because they want to make sure this has been an ongoing problem and not like you just gained a bunch of weight. If you have any co morbitities like sleep apnea that just adds to the BMI and it pretty much seals the deal. My bmi was 41 and I have mild sleep apnea. I am certain it will all go through for you with no problems!!!

  5. Thank you for the job congratulations!! I have been a stay at home mom for 3 years so this will be interesting. YES I'm a food addict. I love the feel of food in my mouth and i have since I was 5. Isn't aetna awesome?! I go to the free class on February 10th. You'll have to tell me exactly whaty ou did so Aetna covered you! I haven't submitted my request yet, just asked over the phone what percentage was covered. Congratulations on it working for you! I hope you continue to see great results!

  6. get out of town i just read you start a new job feb 1st! congrats, so do i!!!!

  7. You sound just like me!!! I have Aetna as well and I had such an easy time, they covered me 100%. Well I have a $100.00 co pay but seeing the surg cost $15,000 that is not bad! lol. I openly admit I am a food addict and I could totally not get this eating thing under control on my own. I was up to 7cc back in oct and was on top of the world I was down almost 40lbs and then I got something tuck bc I didn't chew well enough and just today I had a fill that brought me back up to 6.5cc but I have not lost 1lb since bc I was I got upset and stopped exercising and yatta yatta lol you can just imagine. But honestly the band works!!!! When I had the proper restriction which I am close to again it really works in helping you control not only ur head hunger but your boredom hunger too lol check out my blog www.ladylapband.com

    First steps, any advice??

My family physician said I qualify, and Insurance said that my plan covered 100% of the surgery. I'm going to a seminar to check this out more.
  9. I'm 30. i'm 5'5", 283 lbs, highest weight ever. I'm a mom and i've had problems with food and weight since I was 5. I am now to the point where I don't trust myself to even start on any more diets or eating right b/c I don't trust myself to stick with it. I exercise and some weeks I even go to the gym 3-4 x's but still I just can't get eating under control. I thought lap Band or surgery would be a cop out but now I just see it as the help I need. I have Aetna insurance and would take any amount of advice that anyone can offer so that I can apply for this surgery and get it. I don't have diabetes or high bp, just light sleep apnea and depression/anxiety. Any pointers? I guess i'm just going to call my insurance up and say I want to start the process. I have been under weight monitoring by my doctor for atleast 2 years, every 3 months. Thank you, in advance, for any advice, tips or words of wisdom you may have.:confused::smile2::eek::eek::thumbup::eek:
