My story is not so unusual. I was overweight as far back as I can remember. I was always able to get the weight off to a certain extent when I wanted to. It would eventually come right back on. In 2009 I had gotten to the point where I was tired of trying any longer. I couldn't seem to get the weight off and was gaining rapidly. I found out my sister-in-law was being banded and followed her progress. Then I found out my cousin and neighbor also were banded. They all seemed to be doing quite well with no regrets after a year. I decided to go to a seminar and learn more. The next day I called for my initial consultation and never looked back! My surgery is now 2 days away and I am so excited!! I cannot wait to be able to sit down for dinner and actually be satisfied with a NORMAL portion! I realize I need to make a conscieous effort to eat the right foods but my problem was always the right foods times 4!
