I have been overweight as a child and most of my adult life. I have been on a multitude of diets just to lose a few pounds and then gaining it all back. I tried physcian monitored diets, Adkins diet, weight watchers and many more. Tried Phen-fen, diet pills, injections. Nothing worked for very long. Now that I'm middle aged I'd started to worry about my health more. I'd gotten where I was so tired all the time, no energy, joint pain, couldn't do all the fun things that I used to do because of my weight. My husband and I have 5 beautiful grandkids and quite frankly I want to be around a long time to watch them grow up. I want to be able to get in the floor and play with them and be able to get back up afterwards. I want to be able to ride any of the amusement rides at the parks with my grandkids. I want to run and play with them and not give out. I also want to be able to ride in a plane without having to ask for a belt extender. I had my lap band surgery March 9th, 2010. my beginning weight was 334 and as of today my weight is 298. That's a 36 lb weight loss in 3 months. I feel so much better, have more energy. Love swimming and exercising in our pool. I look forward to each new day now. I feel like I'm making progress daily. I've had 3 band fills now with the last one being yesterday. It's really tight today so I've decided to go back on my sugar free carnation instant breakfast. Tonight for dinner I had some egg drop soup and that was quite tasty.  Over these past 3 months I've learned what I can and can't eat.  I am excited to see each new day and what it will bring my way. I feel like I've been given a second chance at life and I'm going to live it to the fullest, just smaller.
