I've been thinking of doing this lapband ever since I heard of it in 2003. My past room-mate weighed over 400 lbs and decided to get a gastric by-pass but after 6 years he has gained more than half of his weight back, so I started to research the lap-band vs sleeve and by-pass. I knew I wanted the least invasive surgery possible and wanted something that would last me longer so the lap-band was a no-brainer to me. Well, my surgery is at 9am tomorrow morning- January 25, 2010. I think I am past nervous. Now I have entered into anxious. I am excited to see what I can do and how much weight I can lose. It's been a long time coming, a bout 30 yrs. And I know that something has to change as my once good vitals taken by my doctors are now turning not so good. Well, tomorrow is the day. It's now 4:13pm and I have to go downstairs and drink some chicken broth. :-) Ummm good. I know it will get better from here.As I told myself on New Years Eve.....it's my time to shine!!
