Eva - I sent you a PM with my reservation info. Thanks for handling this. Laura - sorry you won't be with us. I'm in for scheduling another trip soon. Welcome Kfields. Lots of great gals here to lead the way for you. Julie - praying for relief of pain for you. hugs. I agree with the others - skip the show and enjoy a couple nice dinners and lots of conversation.
-
I will arrive @ 6 pm on the 30th. Will have welcome greetings for Cheri & Julie to share our vacation room.
-
You definitely belong here. We need you here to share your success. Please post and join us. Joyce:thumbup:

Melissa - I also hate doctors appts. Good luck on job.
-
Laura K - my DGD has no insurance, so Chantix is not an option. I'm so proud of you for working so hard to quit. Keep up the good work.

ladykcusa replied to ladykcusa's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Ks - syx - congrats - keep it up. Prairie Dawn - go slow and be patient. This will happen and will work for you. -
Laura - sorry you Dad is having problems again. Bummer on the car problems. LauraK - darn fiscal year ending - hope you can join us all next time. Lori - sorry NO was canceled. There will be another chance. Helped DGD with her books today and reconciled two accounts. Yippee We are becoming more efficient in managing them and only spend about 3 hours per month. Took her to dinner with DH and tried to buy the fake cigarette system to help her stop smoking. Walmart didn't have it. Darn. Welcome back Karen. We always miss you.

Julie - sending our love. Please God, may she receive some answers and be given a plan of treatment for return to pain free life.
-
OMG Cheri - so sad about your students and the accidental shooting and death. I'm soooo sorry.
-
Laura - How exciting that DH will reunite with his family. You are a wise woman to allow this healing to occur without you and Nels. A very loving decision. Have you tried Shoes, Clothing | Zappos.com Free Shipping You can enter the size, style, brand name, etc to search for exactly what you want. Delivery within 24 hours and free shipping and return. I LOVE IT. Dansko is a comfortable brand you might investigate.

Lori - the pedicure was $66 - plus tip of $20. It is called a spa pedicure and includes exfollient, mositure (with heat) and massage of feet and legs. Takes 2 hours. A real treat in a nice spa. If I don't spend the $$$$, all the kids ask for it. I made it, I'll spend it. We help all of them lots. iPhone class was so much fun. About 8 others and we all enjoyed learning. No judging, but I was the oldest and already had mastered it more than any of them. lol

Forgot to share - Went to American Girl store yesterday and bought doll for GD in Guam. She will Celebrate her 7th b'day when I'm there and she wanted a doll that looks like her. It was my first experience in that store - what fun. Will go back & buy accessories before I leave in November. Will probably carry the doll in my carryon bag to be sure it doesn't get "lost" in my checked luggage.

Need Lap Band Buddy / Mentor just want to be normal and get out of the house
ladykcusa replied to cakey123's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
cakey - lots of information here on these forums. Read and learn. I've had my band for 7 months and my life has changed. I NO LONGER focus on food - I focus on life. It has been quite an adjustment, but the band is working, when I work with it. Dr. Terry Simpson has a website and has performed lots of WL surgeries. Go read about what will be required of you once the band is in place. The band is a tool, but you will still have responsibilities. Not drinking during meals, was a tough one. Making the correct food choices and exercising. Keep reading, then come join the lap banders. A new life awaits. -
Melissa - hope you OB gets to the bottom of your problem. hugs Also, thanks for the info on the spider (complete with pix) Fascinating. Lori - I think my spa pedicure is $65 - wish I was there to share yours, and then go to lunch together.
-
Lori - enjoy New Orleans for dinner. We've been there several times and love the food and atmosphere. Oh yes, then Hawaii - what a great life you have. Laura K - sorry the relationship failed again, but protect yourself and your heart. You deserve someone who will love you fully and who is strong. Laura - I loved all the pix of fun weekend on FB - now I understand why you kept Nels so busy. Dad was working and then trying to rest. What a fun Mommy you are. Janet - Thanks for posting exactly what you eat (once in awhile). It helps me to see what "normal" will look like when I master this band. Glad you enjoyed some relaxation time too. Julie - sending love today for you and doctors @ Mayo. Eva - can't wait to meet you. Something in your post made me laugh out loud today. Phyl - nice to have Cody wear out Zoey. So good for both of them. Nice that you could visit with him. Arlene and Melissa - hello from K.C. Just trying to remember everyone today. I have a pedicure today and a class on my new iPhone. Perfect fall weather here today. Can't wait to see how fall clothes fit. What a change from - oh crap - wonder if anything will fit.
-
Julie - how exciting, another grandchild. Congrats. Sorry it didn't work out to meet up with Karen. Eva - thanks for the kind words. Way to go on the walking. Wish I could remember all I read and comment to everyone, but, sadly I can't. Just enjoy sharing in your lives and having all of you as friends.
-
Julie - welcome home. So sorry that solution is not yet found. We will all pray that Monday will bring some answers. Sending prayers. Take it easy today and follow your instincts about those two parties. Probably better to rest.
-
Welcome back, Gwen - 1/2 lb on a cruise deserves a celebration. Well done. Linda - I saw Sylvia Browne in K.C. Wasn't that impressed - but I loved watching her on Montel. Forgot to mention that I also love to watch Hoarders. Noticed several of you also watch it.
-
Arlene - Bethany is adorable. Truly a pretty baby. I have NOT used Retinol and the age spots on my hands would make a great "connect the dots" game. I was a lifeguard growing up and spent plenty of time in the sun. Still have the convertible and love the sunshine - also played hour of tennis. We play, we pay. Oh well....it's our hearts that count.
-
Eva - you and I are the night owls. Could not go to sleep without checking my lap band sisters. Sleep well. Joyce P.S. Janet - loved your advice to ballet girl - same tough talk that we all need to apply. Thanks for setting us all straight. No excuses will be accepted.
-
Lori - thanks for the update on Julie's progress at Mayo. I could NOT go to bed until I checked to see if we knew anything. A blessing that her friend is well and can return to work. I'll pray that tomorrow will bring more answers for Julie.
-
Lori - thanks for the summary (well done) and so sorry about the smoke alarm. After raising a large family and running the businesses, I'm VERY noise sensitive. Used to have a pager which was always going off,, plus all the other noise in life. Hope DH came home quickly to handle it. Bet it drove the dogs crazy too.
-
Laura - What a wonderful day. So glad you enjoyed your friend and the kids - and the beach. You are glowing in the picture. And - you look great in bathing suit - congrats on wearing it again. Ballet girl - Keep coming back to the boards to vent and stay motivated. You need the support that you will find here, right now. Must stop this gain at 12 lbs. before it becomes more difficult. You CAN do this. Make an appt. and go see your doctor again. Start that journal and let us help. Start tomorrow. We will be here to follow as you return to 136 and feel triumphant. Joyce
-
Laura - wish I could join you and Nels at the beach today. Cloudy and cool here in K.C. Have an appt in our office to sign the renewal for our corporate health insurance. Another 15% increase this year. ouch!!!!!

Any Kansas City bandsters???????
ladykcusa replied to ladykcusa's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Prairie Dawn - this is a very individual process. Each doctor is different and each patient is different. I've learned, doesn't really matter what amount, as long as you each your sweet spot. Glad that first fill is behind you.
