Lori - you better be there. I want and need to meet you. I agree with Janet - don't even think about canceling. I have been MIA with tons of family issues. Can't wait for Vegas and MY TIME. I'LL BE there on Thursday and available to store luggage or whatever is needed. Can hardly wait to meet everyone.

Laura - I'm at the same point. Have not lost since June and so happy to maintain. After Vegas - new plan. I have an appt with my doctor on Wednesday next week. Think I might move it back a week to be sure I'm not uncomfortable in Vegas. What do you think, ladies????

Jodi - how lovely of you to share your feelings from the adult child perspective. You helped to open my eyes to the difficulty from your side of the fence. I'm coming in on Thursday and will arrive about 6. There are no machines at the hotel we are staying. A non-gaming resort.

Laura - so sorry your parents are having such a rough time. grrrr re: Medicare not paying for additional tests. Hugs - you are such a wonderful daughter. Linda - 5 children are my husbands and I have 2. One of each are the problems right now. We won't allow anyone to live with us. We will pay for hotels or apartments - but no one here. Had a delightful lunch with DD and went to American Girl store again to buy clothes for DGD (7 yr. b'day) in Guam. I see I can take 3 bags, so there will be room. I try to pack light and have laundry done anyway and will only take 2 bags. Perfect fall day in K.C. Spent several hours on deck this afternoon until I got a call from the office. Had to pull together information regarding distribution of profit sharing for terminated employee. Then hubby came home and asked me to revise it. grrrr..... Arranged for limo to pick me up on Monday on return from Vegas. Young man I met at first lap band seminar. I befriended him and his surgery was just before mine. We have remained friends and he works for the limo company. Time for bed.

Oh My Dear I had a Blonde/Senior moment when I asked if Karen was coming to LV. She & I texted for 1/2 an hour about the trip a few days ago. Easy for me to see, I have alot on my mind. Please forgive me, Karen. What a flake, I can be.

Cheri - the funeral must have been very, very sad.

Phyl - I love Aveda products and go to an Aveda salon. Aveda offers a membership program with a points system for purchases. I had enough points for a free massage. You might look into it.

Linda - so sorry Katie had to return to hospital. May her healing continue from here. Arlene - you ROCK on your exercise. Way to go. My good intentions will NOT make me thinner. DD was here crying yesterday afternoon, then DS in Nevada was on the phone in crisis (& crying). Discussed all matters with DH. We will help DS move back to KC and co-ordinate the move. He has the maturity of a 14 yr. old and is 42. Thought I was OK with all of it, but woke up this morning feeling like I was in an auto accident. Emotional stress times a million. Arlene - thanks for informing me that the stress can make the band feel tighter. Want to discuss that issue in LV. Have hair appt today for color. Beautiful weather. Focus on the positive and handle one issue at a time - my motto for today.

ks - sounds like a delightful weekend. However, you need to eat. May have to carry Protein bars or shakes to have while you are out. Tiger - good that you will see your doctor soon and let him guide you. He's the expert.

Lori - so glad you are safe from the fire and sending prayers for all families affected. Poor Julie has had more than anyone should be expected to bear. Please God - help her receive relief from this pain. Phyl - Mexican food is my favorite too. Jessica - hope your doctor can sort your tightness out and that your son gets the help he needs from doctors and teachers. Another week begins.

Linda - I have had some of those $$$$ eye drops and very, tiny bottle - only good for two treatments. But, they did the job. Janet - love hearing the story of how you and Andrew began living together. The universe set the stage when he was born to create that special bond that would continue thru life. Spent the day at a farm picnic today. About 80 ppl and lots of children with emphasis on activities for all the children to enjoy. Much effort had gone into the planning and it was lovely. My DH offered to make a plate for me. After 7 months, he knows exactly what I can comfortably chew and swallow and the perfect amounts. I love him sooooo. Gizmo spent the day with a young widow and her 11 yr. old daughter. His first visit in someone else's home. He came home exhausted and kissed me to death when I came to get him. Phyl - you and I have the doggie stories to share - crazy old ladies and their dogs. lolol Arlene - hard to believe I might be too full, but I'll see my doc before I leave for LV and let him decide. Night, ladies.

Let us know how you did, Playermimi. These "firsts" are a challenge, but it becomes easier as your new way of life takes hold.

Karen - surprised to see you here today, but always a nice treat. Sorry it's time to close the lake place til spring. I know how you love it there. I agree, it's wonderful that LV awaits to help ease the packing. I fear Julie is having a difficult time. Sending prayers for healing and relief from pain. She has endured for so long.

Janet - dd has returned to her pre-hostipal life. Like Cheri, I now wait for the next meltdown. Mothering is never over. Fortunately, I've not yet been called upon to raise grandchildren. We can all Celebrate that we have changed life and shown responsibility for our families. Our blessing is strength in the face of crisis. Now for a bit of a problem - I am constantly clearing my throat. I'm sure it's acid relux - carrying the mucus ball at the base of my throat. I take Rx prevacid daily. Any suggestions????
