KS-sxy - Good job on your pre-op. I also worried what ppl would think when I didn't eat, as I also chose NOT to share my decision about WLS. Guess what - you will be surprised how little anyone cares. Sometimes they don't even notice how little I eat - most of the time actually. Just say, "I'm not hungry, ate before I came" Yes, I have goal clothes. A whole closet of designer outfits and plan to pick one of three RED ones to wear at the holiday parties. Yippee.

I'm so excited - used my FF miles to upgrade to first class for all flights to LV. Won't arrive until 7 pm on Friday, but won't leave until 6 pm on Sunday. Otherwise would have had to leave 4 a.m. and would have been exhausted the first day anyway and with checkin @ 4 could NOT take my daily nap. I'm a senior citizen after all. duh So happy to have everything in place.

Arlene - I am an expert at hemorrhoids. And not proud of it. Take a long, hot bath tonight & epson salts will help. Stay off your feet. Sorry for the pain in the A$$. As far as pre-diet, day three the hunger monster arrived. Tough it out. You CAN DO IT. This is a life style change and the pre-diet will help prepare your body and MIND. Gizmo also alerts one hour before storm begins and shakes like a leaf. Dog trainer advised Bach's Rescue Remedy mouth spray as a possible solution. Have not tried it yet.

I booked the 2 bedroom which also has a couch. Would anyone like to share with me??? If not, I can change it to a one bedroom. Have cut way back on my computer time so missed all the posts yesterday. Linda - congrats on the shopping. It has been sooooo many years since I enjoyed shopping. You really scored the bargains. Wow. Phyll - we also tried to find a rescue puppy, but, in the end, went for a baby dog so we could train him and NOT inherit problems. It was really a challenge living thru all the puppy energy - but he will be 2 on Friday and now he knows our routine and has settled in well. Last time I was in LV I visited one of the outlet malls about 20 min. from the strip. Chico's is there and great bargains.

Arlene - Our daughter lives in Houston & works at the Four Seasons downtown. Didn't realize you were there. I'll put that in my memory bank for a future chance to meet.

Relative to pain meds, the nurse @ the surgicenter recommended I drink pain meds for drive home. That was the only pain med I needed.

This is a safe place to vent. The release helps to avoid eating our problems away. Take care of yourself. It is unreasonable to expect to "hold up" the whole family. Focus on YOU. Good luck, sweetie

So happy to hear that beef is a possible option. Love filets and have been living on fish, fearing problems. Can't wait to try one.
