Way to go, Lori, on exercise. You rock, GF.

Had a lovely phone conversation with Julie this morning and look forward to meeting her, in person. Also had a phone call from a gal I met in Bali several years ago and had a chance to meet her as she flew in from L.A. for dinner before she drove on to Salina for a nursing school reunion. What an unexpected delightful evening. Also had a nice lunch with my dearest international travel buddy. A GREAT DAY.

Any Kansas City bandsters???????
ladykcusa replied to ladykcusa's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Lots of community fireworks with food stands (for the 16 yr. old). Have your protein drink before you go. SF pop sickles and SF jello for you all weekend. You CAN DO THIS. -
Arlene - I understand about the cupcakes. Feels good to confess and move on. We are human. Julie - nice to see two posts in a day. Lori - soon a lawn to mow yippee - and no more muddy dogs.

sphipps41 - are you on clear liquids? Tell us what you are eating? Follow you doctors instructions and call him for advice. -
Forgot to congratulate Arlene on 3 more lbs. You rock, GF. Julie - maybe NOT putting down that new rug until after potty training might be a consideration. The rest will help you now. Keeping pain away from your door during sleep. Can't add to 4th of July memories. None come to mind as outstanding. However, since moving to this house (23 yrs. ago), I can walk up to my corner (we park a car there early in the morning), and watch fireworks over a soybean field. There will be about 100 cars there and it is lovely. Had a massage today - haircut yesterday - & color the day before that -- at my age every day needs to be maintenance. lol

Welcome scrapebook girl. Hope all goes smoothly for you post-op. Joyce -
Looks like I'm the "junk up the thread" gal. Janet & Phyll will have a wonderful gathering for the 4th and Janet can flash those red, white & blue nails. Love the "sand in the pants" remark. Hope they take lots of pix. Zoey sounds like a real princess. Carry me, mommy. DGD cut my hair today and then I took her to lunch. Then off to a movie with DD (her Mom).
-
Linda - What a wonderful overview. You rock, GF.
-
Karen - nice compliment about DD. She is actually my step daughter, but we don't use the "step" label. I met her father when she was one year old, so I've always been in her life.
-
Arlene - DD has dark hair and is very tiny. Barely 5 ft. tall She loves working for the Four Seasons chain. Stay dry down there with Alex coming on shore.

We all have slips. Shake it off and continue the pre-op diet. Perfection is NOT our goal. Happy B'day. Just think what you will look like next year on your b'day. Wow. Joyce -
FYI - Now have our room filled with Cheri & Julie & me. I snore - so hope I don't run them off. My yoga travel mate says my snoring is NOT bad. Laura - congrats on refund for camp and important that they will make changes. Lori - glad hair came out well.
-
Karen - weekend sounds soooo wonderful. Enjoy. Also sending strength for dental appt. and healing after. Lori - good luck with your new salon and hope your new yard will be completed this weekend.
-
Welcome home, Karen. Sounds like a busy weekend for you. Lori - love the pix of DH and his fish and your camping with Family sounded soooo peaceful. Good job on $200 savings on patio set. Julie - I rented the 2 bedroom and Cheri will be in with me. There is a couch available, if you would like to join us. And, once again, I'll be sitting by the pool and not doing alot of walking or shopping. Laura - good job keeping Nels out of camp. They were not doing their job taking care of him. LauraK - hope DD's furniture arrives soon and glad she enjoyed first day at work. No energy today - will increase my protein tomorrow. Could just be the oppressive heat. Bedtime. Sleep well, ladies.

Did anyone cry the first week??
ladykcusa replied to robinbare's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes, I cried and wondered WTH have I done to myself. It has been 4 months now and I still have days that I grieve loss of favorite foods. Then I remind myself why I chose this option. Was it really FUN to EAT MYSELF TO DEATH???? Shame and guilt were my constant companions. Hang in there, sweetie. Health and self confidence await you. -
Arlene - so excited you will be joining the group. Janet - how many do we have now? Very hot and humid in K.C. Nice to stay inside in a/c.
-
Jersey - congrats on onederland. Yippee. Phyll - I only put a smear of peanut butter on the kong and he licks up every bit - no mess, at all. Congrats to Will also. Life is getting sweeter every day for you.
-
Julie - I'm driving an hour to a wedding today too. Hubby is taking the pix and went early, so I have to drive alone. Love the names for the group. Janet - wow is Andrew ever earning lessons. I have memories of all those situations with 7 children as teens. Hubby encouraged me to change my reservation and make the trip longer. I'll think about it. CBL

I have a Kong that I place peanut butter in and place it in the crate before I put Gizmo in. He associates something great tasting with being placed in the crate. Just a thought.

KS_sxy - Great job. For those hungry periods, try SF jello or SF popsickles. Take some walks or go to pool to stay busy - or walk the dog, if you have one. Now is a great time to start some new healthy habits and you'll feel proud for doing it. Keep up the great work. Joyce -
Me at a wedding...still hanging in at the same 179-182 weight. Ugh.

Cheri - re: airfare - think one of the gals (maybe LauraK) mentioned Southwest had good fares. Can call them and check. I also buy lots of things on line and have not had problems. Phyll - love your new Zoey. Enjoy her. I'm sorry I booked my air before all of you. Would have flown in on Thursday and left on Monday. Oh well - $150 to change and there will be other trips. Julie - I am NOT a shopper and won't be able to keep up with the others. So you and I could sit by the pool together, if you decide to join the group. Hopefully Mayo clinic will have you sorted out and painfree and ready to Celebrate. Bossy Bingo is tooooooo funny. And I thought I was from a small town. Karen - soooo happy you are joining us. Have a great lake weekend. Joyce P.S. I was missing with internet problems yesterday
-
Cheri - happy to have you share. I'll look forward to it. There is also a couch in the room to add one more gal. Janet - I arrive @ 6 PM US Air thru Phoenix. I can grab a taxi and see you at the resort.
-
Phyll - congratulations on adding Zoey to your family. Pix #3 I noticed she is cuddling while you are on the computer. I knew you would find the perfect one. Joyce Now the walks everyday begin. Sometimes twice daily. Great for us and them. Joyce
