Melissa - sending prayers for strength and a job in your future. Joyce

Oh Julie. Please continue to express your feelings about the pain and frustration. Know that we are all here to share and, I believe, sharing it makes it better.
-
Cheri - thanks for update on Karen's condition. BTW - congratulations on meeting your goal. You look so marvelous, pretty lady. Can't wait to share a room with you and Julie in Las Vegas and get acquainted. Joyce

I may have to return to meetings to meet all of you. After attending a few, I decided to miss them. Too many complainers who were not working the tool and expecting wl. I need positive direction to reach success. -
Hi Dee - nice to see a new face here and welcome. Linda - Love, love the pix of you and GD cooking together. Almost makes me want to bake. BTW - you look soooo skinny. My heart is breaking for your baby. Let us know what happens to that sweetie.

Hi girls Laura - You are such a loving daughter. I'm sure your Mom appreciates all you are doing to help her and your Dad. Enjoy the party and kiss Nels - loved his idea for greeting on cake. Can't believe that niece who moved away and makes no effort to contact your Dad after all his devotion to her life. grrrrrrr...... Arlene - didn't recognize your posts with the new pix. You look darling and so very happy. Can't wait to meet you. Julie - so good to hear a positive appt with your doctor. Can't believe the pace you keep in spite of your pain. Have not read past posts. Busy managing my daughters problems. She was released from psychiatric unit after 2 1/2 days. So disappointing that more time was not allotted for withdrawal - or maybe they didn't remove enough meds. grrrr..... Took a break and saw Eat, Pray and Love yesterday. Found it a little long and was not as impressed as the hype led me to believe. Julia Roberts was marvelous, as were the male actors. Happy weekends to all. Joyce

Both of you keep up the good work. Always good to have the "first fill" over with. Then we know it is nothing to fear. Stay cool, my friends. -

Yes, I'm able to eat salad. Small amounts. -
Phyl - sorry about the pain. Sending prayers that healing will come soon. Can't believe winter preparation has begun for you. Such an interesting time in life for you and hubby. Jessica - love the new uniforms arriving by mail. Always fun to receive a package. So proud of your dedication toward making a great career for yourself thru all the hard work. It will pay off. Spend from 11 pm to 5 am at the hospital with 47 yr. old daughter and her hubby. She was admitted to psychiatric unit of local hospital and I'm praying that solutions will be found to help her embrace a healthier, drug-free lifestyle. She battles chronic depression. Leaving to meet a dear friend for lunch - then a nap and dinner with other friends who are caring for their 4 grandsons this week. Busy day.

JAP - no hotels with plastic glasses. Very important for me.
-
Lori - thanks for the update on Karen. Sending prayers for healing and good doctors to help. 113 is the heat index in KC for the next few days. I spent the day with DGD helping her with her books for her salon. Scale is showing me good results, so will delay another fill.

Lori - Jewish American Princess - JAP - I'm one, so get ready. What is a JAP favorite wine???? Answer - I want to go to the beach. (whining inflection) Since I AM ONE - I can make the jokes.

Toto - discuss your schedule concerns with Dr. Hoehn. I worked with Dr. Malley and 2 weeks pre-surgery with shakes & one ww meal per day were required. Then post op - one week of shakes, followed by mushy foods for another week. I also prefer privacy relative to this decision. It has been amazing to me how little ppl notice what I do/do not eat when eating out. I respond (if they comment, which is seldom) just not too hungry today, ate a late lunch, etc. Just returned from my first vacation (since banding) and was concerned about food choices. It was NOT a problem. -
Judy - what a deal on the shoes. Challenge all of us to find a better deal than that. Way to go on 6 1/2 lbs. too. Enjoy the wedding in Boston.
-
Lori - would love to see a picture of the new pond. Sounds lovely. Dealing with wet dog would be an issue for me. Julie - enjoy Mimi today and take it easy. Janet - still can't get over size "0". You rock, sista.

Have heard wonderful things about him. He performed my SIL's bypass surgery and I've spoken to others who worked with him on lap band. They have a marvelous support group. Good choice. -
Cheri - I also like small purses and seldom change bags. I like Brighton and keep them for years. Feel like new if I only carry every 3 years. Gwen - I had knee replaced May 2009. It is wonderful to be pain free and able to walk again. Since I fell in the hospital the day after surgery which required a second surgery, it was necessary for me to have 24 hr. nursing for a month at home. Then the rehab PT 3 times a week to rebuild. All worth it. Ready to start another week and considering seeing my lap band doctor for another fill. Just hated the month of vomiting and have enjoyed the unfill and comfort.

Yikes - my daughter and SIL are in Ludington this week on vacation. His family owns a cottage there, and they try to visit once a year. Such a small world. Joyce

tiger - congrats on ceasing the coke addiction. I am proud of NO diet pop since Feb. 8th. Don't even miss it. No carbonated beverages at all. KS - sxy - keep up the workouts and your weight loss will continue. All part of our new life style. -
Ladies - loves all the newsy posts. Lots of activity in everyone's lives. I'm walking every night - waiting for heat and humidity to be tolerable. Gizmo needs his daily walks and I owe it to him - and me. Janet - glad Bella made it thru surgery. Laura and Julie - good luck with all the cooking. Hello to all my friends here. Joyce
-
Complaining while walking increases the calories burned. lolol Way to go - you exercised in spite of hating it. Well done.
-
Will B Healthy - you are doing a wonderful job. Such great success. Congrats. Joyce

Kendra - nice to see you post and congrats on your weight loss. You are rocking it, girl. Joyce -
Linda - I love Sylvia Browne and I saw her in KC a few years ago. Always enjoyed watching her on Montel Williams show. Arlene - You are doing so well. The scale needs time to catch up with your efforts. Stay strong.
-
Karen - so sorry about the broken arm. Your string of bad luck is officially OVER. Lady Gaga was incredible and amazing, however, I think it might be my LAST concert. At 67, todays youth is a little much for me to handle. The costumes of the other concert goers were bizarre. You can really not imagine. She had a rock group open for her that blasted my ears off and made my hair blow in the noise. Her performance was everything I imagined and more. Great sets and dancers and wonderful energy with the crowd. Way to go on exercise, ladies. You inspire me.
