Just splurged and had Peanut Butter kids Cereal and milk... Hubby put it in a bowl and I ate it. Not the best choice but after this week maybe I need to Celebrate. (I am not into processed stuff as it brings about arthritis if I do it often) My mom has refused to eat. OH joy! At 90 and hospitalized it is about the only control she has. Prayers appreciated. We have little ones coming this afternoon to stay while their parents go to the hospital to visit Gram. I am thinking a big walk with kids in our double stroller is just what I need. Up hill and down... springy weather and fresh air. chicken rice vegi Soup for lunch and roast vegis and beef for dinner. Minerals and Vitamins ! Gotta do this better than early in the week!Water is delicious and no problem getting that in. Blessings on your day friends!

Cereal /milk chicken rice veg soup cabbage rolls for dinner in the plan. water/tea/coffee Word search book for Mom purchased and car washed. Pharmacy pick up. Aunt to and from grocery. Hide and seek outside with grandson! Mom was able to walk to the bathroom with help of 2 people. God is so good! Monday it appeared she would not even be here today! Off to see her this afternoon and into gym for elliptical. New baby visit in the works. He is over 9 lbs at 2 weeks old today! Peaceful content little guy. Happy to hear your plans and activities. Time to get my mojo in gear again too. Weather is sunny and clearing flower beds and planting some bulbs.
  3. I lost a half size in length and needed especially new shoes due to the width being stretched out as well. Orthotics or insoles filled in the problem in several pairs of shoes and that was good for my more expensive ones. I was an 8 and on the wide side. Now 7 or 7 1/2 and need them more narrow.

Good morning... foggy as all get out! I have been doing a lot of stewing and pacing. I hope it counts. It is movement. So thankful to have my Mom still with us. After her surgery things went wrong and we hurried her back to the hospital. She was in heart failure. Long story short.... still in the hospital and family all called last evening. She did rest well and I came home at past 2 am. I have been drinking lots of Water and did have an ice cream cone as it was the least hazardous choice available out of a vending area at midnight. Pray for all of us. Being in control is something I like. This is beyond my control and I need to trust in the Lord and be glad in it! Today I am going to sing her some great songs and walk the big ole parking lot and halls if she is stable. God is good and never fails us. He is with us always! Blessings and the 5 K is a great goal!

Back in the saddle again! Whirlwind here with life. People in from FL for any minute new grand baby's arrival. My mom has been in and out of the hospital x2 in 10 days. Not improving greatly yet and at 90 we can be caring and helpful. Plaster job gone bad on new sunroom was so graciously repaired by our contractor in the middle of the previously mentioned hoopla! Love mixing all these issues with plaster dust LOL! Just noting how all the life changes affect me.... I need to refocus and get things in perspective. So for today... I am shoveling 3 inches of new snow for exercise at 3 homes and calling it exercise fresh air and solitude with nature. Actually looking forward to it! Making a marvelous marinated sirloin roast, fresh green Beans and roasted cauliflower for dinner. Doing edging for hubby with paint in sunroom and he will paint walls and ceilings. Checking on Mom 3 times a day so I do get breaks! LOL. God is good and my wt is holding ! I have found a papaya extract chewable that is said to help with acid reflux. So far so good! Blessings on your day and may the peace of WLS keep you on your journey of wellness!

Happy Valentine's DAY! Love yourself and others today! We have flowers to take to Mom and Aunt Liz! When you are 90 plus it makes getting flowers soooo special! Giving love makes me feel so special all the way through. Finishing up the little treat boxes for the grand kids and need to deliver them. Had a spot of raw honey in my coffee this am! Having a heart shaped egg in the hole for hubby and me for Breakfast. A nice fresh strawberry salad and cup of Soup for lunch. dinner on way to hospital to visit Mom. Goal of elliptical on my list too ... it may be the long walk from parking garage if time is short but it counts! Big hospital and parking on outer end can be a sprint!
  11. I have had a new passport since my WLS however I still have my old drivers license photo ID . The Security Officer at the airport looked at the old license photo and said as he scanned my face for several seconds. YOU have lost a lot of weight and a few years! I did the happy dance! To weigh less than what you listed as your weight on your drivers license.... ahhhhhhhhhhhh

Barium swallow was not a test to dread for sure. Just drink what they give you ... wait a few and they watch it go down. I was on insurance so no idea what the cost would be. Sorry. Make sure you flush it through your system afterward. They will tell you this I imagine. Hope you get answers. Some DR. are not good listeners. Hold your own. They work for YOU! I keep that in mind when I have questions. Hugs!
  14. Do plenty of research and find out what support is available with the type WLS you are interested in. The very important part for me has been a local support group that will be there for you no matter what. I have had 3 minor glitches over nearly 6 years and would certainly do it again if I were considering it. Nothing else worked for me! Thankful!
  15. Happy Valentine's Day... a great opportunity to say I love you to many special people in my life. Have mailed a couple of cards and have a little treat for each grandchild for this special day. Thinking about my sweet hubby of 45 years and knowing he is always here for me. We will sip a nice hot chocolate together... healthy and sweet! My Mom, who is 90, and an Aunt who is 97 will be getting a little chocolate sampler from us just because! LOVE in any language is a great way to start everyday! Our oldest grandchild was born on Valentine's DAY! He is my all time favorite Valentine!
  16. Super job! Way to go! I was called the "Little Redhead" at a friends housewarming shower last week! New image!

Insomnia... grrr. Well just start my day early and get on with it! LOL... Having a bit of acid reflux so drank a bit of Water and sitting up will be a good thing I hope. Not sure why acid reflux is getting to me lately. Had not had issues much with this in the first 4 years post band. Anyone else have issues with acid reflux? My mom, who is 90, continues to have back pain. Putting that on my first to deal with issues for today as the Dr. comes in at 9 am. Making some Italian Wedding Soup with tiny meatballs in it today. Yogurt and Cereal first. Need to focus on vit/min and water too. Planning a gym day. Be a blessing today!

I was interested to know how you decided to have the sleeve revision after lapband. Did the band fail in some way? I am almost 6 years post lapband. Thanks and hope you continue on your healthy journey.
  20. Give it time then and hope today is a better day! When they get the fill correct I am hoping you can get your journey to a great wt on the way. Hugs and relax. This is a great tool!

    Struggling to find right bra

Bali is my best fit... I did get measured at Victoria Secret but their brands were not quite it. Of course I am over 60 so maybe it is not such a Secret as Victoria makes LOL
  22. I think you should call your Dr. I did not experience that. Prayers for you and keep us posted.

Life gets busy but it snows and we shovel! It is exercise! Made homemade vegetable soup today with extra lean ground beef, carrots, onions, tomatoes, celery, peppers and green beans. Delicious! I did my vitamins/minerals and water! Just tried some low carb yogurt and it is disgusting. In the trash it goes. I like yogurt but that is some bad stuff! Anyone have a favorite yogurt? I need some ideas! Blessings to each of you on your journey!

    possible complications

Yikes... I am just sad that this has happened to you. I am almost 6 years out. I did have a glitch mid January and had a small unfill. It took about 4 days for me to feel better and now I feel like I am in the green zone. I was having similar issues to yours in Jan. I hope this is not going to be a repeat issue for me. I did not have any port itchy feeling though. Keep us posted here as to what you do and how it is managed. I had read they do fills in some areas under floroscopy. I am wondering if they can see the area well enough to diagnose your problem? Praying for YOU!
