i actually have the reverse effect.. i choke on some food and get rid of it and them get a massive headache, but I do suffer from Migraines- Ive never had the Migraines affect my band directly though. I get headaches from being too weak, soi have to force food in me.

hmm.. well you could make crystal light slushies.. those were nice too , takes awhile to eat/drink so keeps your mouth occupied for a longer time

well with my post op the docs office provides a personal trainer, they really only want me to do 10-15 mins of cardio then weight training to the fullest.. 2-3 times a week for an hr, all weight training after those few mins of cardio to get the blood pumping. My doc says the problem is not that i have too much fat, but i have too LESS muscle.

well i am a BIG believer in weight watchers and it worked for me just fine... but this is how my doctor put it, your doing a great job on weight watchers, but there is way to much room for error with it, things happen, plateaus, ect.. why spend anymore of of your youth being fat? I agree.. and doing weight watchers gave me alot of the nutritional education that i need to make this band really work! Tell the group to go *blank* themselves... find a new group, thats much more understanding :grouphug: NO SURGERY IS AN EASY WAY OUT!

I really wouldt stress on measuring.. ur tummy does that for you, id say if your in pain- try mushy foods, mashed potatoes, applesauce, stuff like that. When i have trouble getting things down... crackers are my 100% food staying in the system, dunno why, but crackers and my band are a-ok together :grouphug:

did they tell you Clear Liquids? or can u have thicker, creamy liquids? they let me have creamy ones, and i found that campbells Soup at hand were a god send! I also made fat free yogurt smoothies with fruit-also very filling.

SHARE... what you've learned after Banding
KLM3hrt replied to NewSho's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I reached the point about a month ago where i finally resorted to "eating to live" not "living to eat". I could care less about food, until i really need it... cravings.. gone, only thing i miss is the feeling of biting into a sandwich... i dont crave it, just miss it. -
Best memory... seeing the scale stop reading ERR and then later seeing it not jump into the 300s Worst memory... horrific ab muscle pain after being recut because my port flipped 3 weeks outta original surgery.

How many calories a day do you eat?
KLM3hrt replied to Sammysue78's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Ive never really kept track of it.. i figured as long as i eat the right foods and balance them .. the band restricts the amount of it.. though if i "splurge" on something not so good.. i watch the portion size. -
I had to sign a contract that i wouldnt get pregnant for a yr and show medical documentation of my birth control before i was allowed to get the band... anyone else have to go through that?

I think its funny that i was burping up a storm when i saw this thread to post on .. but then again, i burp for about an hr after eating anything... burping good, hiccuping bad... hiccups followed by food coming up very quickly and me running to the closest bathroom.

HELP 911!!! My first filling is next week.. what shall i expect?!
KLM3hrt replied to Dana_Kwt's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
well with mine in the office they layyou on a table, they push on ur tummy til they find the right part of the band, ask you to lift your feet up and stick a needle in.. they numb the site before sticking the needle in so it doesnt hurt.. as for it being tight before ur just swollen.. just take it slow after the fill and see how you deal with new foods. They always suggest liquids 24 hrs after a fill...just to adjust yourself -
