Hi everyone,I'm a brand new bander! Just had my band put on Tuesday January 19th. I am home and recovering really well. Just started on my pourable solids today. Still trying to figure that all out. I am a 45 year old single Mom of 3. I've really been fighting my weight since I had my first child 25 years ago. Ever since that time, I've been up and down the scale. 4 years ago I lost about 40 pounds, but slowly it all crept back on. I'm an EMOTIONAL eater. But I turned 40 and suddenly my blood pressure started to soar. I've been on meds ever since that time. My hope is that I can lose enough weight to get off of the medication eventually. Career-wise, I am a Social Worker and find that I bring my work home with me often. I also don't keep very consistent eating patterns when I am at work, and that is a BIG problem. I'd be running around at work all morning with no food, only to hit about 1:00 or 2:00 and then eat whatever I could to make the headaches go away! That has to change. Not sure what else to write right now. I'm really looking forward to this new adventure in the second half of my life.I'm in Nebraska, are there any others out this way?
