Heyyyy Mispritsy!! I'm doing great!! Well, I went to work for a few hours then left work around 11:15am to go to the hospital for surgery. Surgery went well, I am home now resting no gas pains just a little discomfort been walking every since I got out of surgery. My dr. found hernia's which he removed when he went in to band me. I am greatful that he used the same incisions from my gastric bypass back in 2004. I am doing great. Oh, since I have a band over the gastric bypass he gave me a fill already in my bad to prevent slippage and to secure the fit. I'm just surpised that I have no gas pains or anything. Yeahhhhhhhhhhhh, I'm on the other side!!

Thank you so much!!! I am so excited I can't sit still to save my life!! I went to get me some more protein & liquid vitamins today! I ahve so much energy I'm fixing to burst!! I'm just a little sad that it won't be done to in the morning like I expected. I can deal with the afternoon but I'd prefer early in the morning like normal surgeries...lol!! I will keep ya posted. Think I will go get my hair done tomorrow....need to do something to keep myself busy...lol!!!

Good Morn-Ting, Mama!! I doubt that you will gain it back what I would like to suggest is up your protein to 60 grams per day if will keep you fuller longer! Also, if you can up your fiber intake too it will help you out until you are to get your 1st fill. If you need some ideas on some good (liquid) proteins let me know. I know of some that are really good tasting. I'm so glad we have a snow day today at work but I am so tired of all this freaking snow!! I'm about to call the nurses staion to see what time I have to be to the hospital on Monday......Yeahhhhhhhh!!

Now onto you mis missy!! What was going thru your mind when you put on them jeans???? Lol!!! I went and brought me 4 pairs of pants with an eslastic band i will be wearing them over the next couple of weeks!! Hmph!! They going to think I am wearing a uniform at work got them in all colors. I am not playing!! They just going to have to deal with it for a minute...I am packed and ready to go!!

Lol!! Capri's are my favorite!!! How did you know....lol!! I did not even think about those type of pants. i have been trying to find anything that was loose fitting with an elastic band for after the surgery. I am so pumped!! I can't wait!!

Yeah, about the protein increase it to to 60 grams per day you will see the weight loss pick back up again. If you need some good protein supplements let me know I know some that don't taste have bad....

Well, from what I am told my insurance requires I night stay in the hospital for the LapBand. They don't even cover the Rose procedure as of yet....I did not even know that the band curved, wow! Ya learn something new every day. Grrrrr!! I wish Monday would hurry up & get here already!!My girlfriends are going to have a fit when they find out what I'm doing. I see a family meeting in my future....LOL!!How are you feeling?

Lol!! Yes, we do have alot in common so to speak. Yes Prednisone is a the devil!!! Lol!! I was doing 90 mg per day for 90 days then slowly they would lower my dosage until I was off of it all together. However that is one of the things that they give asthma patients to help open up their passage way. It has no many great uses but the side effects of the drug is the worst!! Especially excessive weight gain.

I feel that the band over my GB is going to be great for me. I just wish Monday was alreay here. I am so sick & tired of all this weight!! Besides I can't fit anything and I refuse to buy any clothes in a larger size!! I simply refuse, especially now that I'm having surgery, nope I will wear whatever I still can get into (which is anything stretchable) so what it looks like the same pants everyday!! I tell folks think of my outfits as uniform....lol!! :lol:

Which band did you choose? I told my doctor that I wanted the AP Band which is the one that is more circular with the rough ridges that when it's inflated it looks like a circle still....However depending on my antamony (as they put it) will determine which one I will get one of the AP band sizes I will get. Since this is a revision to my gastric bypass that I had in 2004 he told me more than likely they will be filing my band so that it will fit around the valve to my stomach pouch.....I wish today was Friday!! Hmph!! Anywhoooooooo, I am glad that you are doing well. How are you doing with your proteins & stuff??

Hey Ms. TMG!!! How are you doing girlie?? Yes, 5 more days!!! I am so excited i can't wait!!! I am already packed for my night stay in the hospital. My suitcase is by the door already!!! Lmbooooooo!!! My dr. did not put me on a pre-op diet but he is having go on liquids 48hrs before my surgery. I guess becuz it's a revision to my past gastric bypass not really sure. However I did get all of my protein already all that is left for me to get is jello, crylight popsicles, pudding & kids sippy cups to sip out of and i am done. I am so excited!! How's things going with you??

Glad that you are doing well!! How much proteing are you getting in per day? Uping your protein intake can give you that extra push that you are seeking. Well the way that my dr. puts it that my pouch itself has not stretched but the valve opening which is connected to my pouch has stretched from 1cm to 3.5cm which is allowing food to dumo right into my stomach why I never seem full. So what they are going to do is put the band right above that valve and my stomach. So you can say that I'm going to have the band over my GB.

I originally had my surgery in 2004 and just gained my weight back in 2008 when I was put on presidone to treat my eczema which caused me to pick up 75lbs too quick for my lil ole body to handle (I'm 4'11 1/2). And NO you are not being nosey...it's fine sweety!!

Funny thing is that I am not nervous at all, lol! I'm not sure if I you caught my previous posting about this but this will be my 2nd bariatric surgery. The 1st was back in 2004, I had the gastric bypass, which I did very well. Until I was put on meds to control my exzema (presidone for 90 days) Gurl I blew up!! I put on 75lbs with the quickness!! Too darn fast for my lil body.

So I discussed the procedure with my PCP & he was like sure I'll approve it and that's how I am here today getting a revision to my bypass surgery. I must be weird but surgery does not scare me for something reason.....lol. But I am a punk when it come to needles. That's why I don't know how the heck I'mma survive the fills..lmao! Oh, my dr did not put me on a pre-op diet, all I was told to stop partying no drinking and to go on liquids 48 hrs before surgery. I have all my proteins & stuff I am ready!! I'm so ready put me to sleep & wrap me w/a band!! lmaoo!! How much protein are you getting in, in a day?

They just told me which meds to advoid and 48 hrs before surgery I am to be on straight liquids and no drinking!! I had my last drink yesterday after I went to p/u my protein & other stuff. I can not wait!! I am so ready!! So ready to the point that I'm already packed to go to the hospital!!

Hey Destined! I'm doing great I got approved after 2weeks from the time they submitted my paperwork. I have my surgery date Mon, March 1st! I'm so excited I just can't hide it I'm 'bout 2 lose some weight & I know I love it! (Borrowed from fellow bandster but I remixed it!..giggles) I know time is near but I wish it was already here!! It's okay w/the late response glad you got back 2 me I'm not nervous 'bout the surgery @ all this will be my 2nd bariatric surgery (gastric bypass 2004) did really great until the meds which caused me 2 pick up 2 much weight 2 fast only thing scares me is the fills, I seen the needle! My dr numbs the area 1st but I hate needles w/a passion!! I am a straight punk!! lol!!
