    Why are YOU Fat?

I'm a Carbo-holic!!! I LOVE pastries and Breads in all kinds and shapes.. Carbs used to be my best friend, but not anymore .. I thought i'll be sad not being able to eat carbs, I WAS WRONG!!! I never been happier shedding lb's and not even thinking of a piece of bread or a slice of Pizza :lalala:

    Waiting for my first fill....

Hey there ... I was banded 9/11/2006 as well!! so we are officially Bandmates i guess I last saw my doctor on 10/3/2006 and he told me that my next fill should take place 4 weeks after the surgery. So, I'm scheduled for my first fill on 10/10/2006. In your case, some surgents i guess want to give enough time to get used to the band (5-6 weeks) before the first fill and they usually tell their patients when their first fill will approximately take place. Check with your surgent if your fill can be done sooner since others do get their fills after 4 weeks not 6 weeks post surgery. Join me in shedding the lb's fast so that we can reach or target weights together, BANDMATE :biggrin1: Regards, Dana :funscale:
  6. My Advice: Don't tell anyone if it makes you feel better I think we need to stop worrying about what others will say if they discover and start paying some attention to ourselves now!!!! Turst me, you will be watched 24/7 on what you eat and how does it feel after surgery and how many lbs you've lost. and Gosh if yu dont loose weight at a fast pace, all will question the usefullness of the band, and the questions and interigations on each and every step you take will go on and on and on!!! Our pshychological condition post surgery will very much effect yr progress and you must feel comfortable with yourself and the environment arround you to be able to shedd the weight. So start with feeling comfortable at your work and Dont tell yr employer. Say that you will be doing some check-ups and overall medical examiniation. This is what i did, and it worked with me PERFECTLY :biggrin1: Regards, Dana :funscale:

Your best memory is AMAZING!! Way to go my friend :biggrin1: As for your worst memory, the band was NOT the easy way out!!! Going under the knife in surgery was a VERY DIFFICULT dicission and am sure it took you time to decide. Also, we have to be on diets for a LONG period of time, which means that we also diet like others and exercise to loose weight. Wishing you all the best in your Jurney to shedd the lbs. You Will Do It and shock all the people arround you when you reach yr target weight and Look AMAZING :clap2: Regards, Dana :funscale:

Hey there BJean.. were are now officially band palls Talking about hunger makes me feel hungry lol... I had a problem with Hunger when i swiched to my mushi food diet. Knowing that i can chew food till it's mushi then swallow it made me pass on some TABO food (fried and chocolate) which i really regret now!!!:cry I think we share this as well. And like you, for the past couple of days i have been right on track again and determinate to get to my target weight. After all, we took this step and undergone an aperation to lose weight for good. Remembering how BAD i felt and how sick i was immedietly after the operation made me remember the pain i went through for the sake of getting thinner, and am not about to make all that go with the wind!!! Let's both support each other and keep on working hard to reach the weight that we always dreamed of reaching. and WE CAN DO IT!!! :clap2: Hoping that we both reach our targets together and be healthy and happy..... and to have more guys flurt with us LOL Regards, Dana :funscale:
  14. Dear Wheestin, Am so much relieved.. I know that the topic was over the edge a little, but as the rest of my threads, i like to spice up the topics and have some ACTION going on .. hehehe ... I should've been an actress instead of a civil engineer LOL. Your reply was perfect and it covered all aspects of my query. I think am affraid more than i should be BTW, how can i post my photo like you above my replies?? i added a photo to my profile, yet it is not appearing on the threads? I need help please ... but not a 911 help this time :heh: Regards, Dana :funscale:
  15. Hey all .. I have an idea .. why dont we all share the best and worst memories after getting banded?? I'll start first with the worst memory ... :think Worst Memory: When I tried to have my first solid meal and felt that weird pain!! Suddenly i realized that i will not feel that fullness sensation that i used to enjoy, It's a paining sensation instead. That made me realize that my life has changed for good, not knowing that it will change for the best eventually when i start shedding more lb's Best Memory: When i started to get comments from all the people arround me that i've lost weigh! actually i haven't told any of my friends or second relatives about the operation. I wanted it to be a secret so that i don't jinx it :kiss Now what are your worst and best memories so far?? :biggrin1: Regards, Dana :funscale:
