I started my journey many years ago. I had the Lap-band surgery on 10/23/2010. I did well with it but in 10/2013 the band broke. We were without insurance so I had to wait until we had insurance. Dr. Fischer removed the band in July of this year. I was interested in the Gastric Sleeve surgery and was told that I was a good candidate. I went through all the prerequisite things that I needed to do and was approved for the Gastric Sleeve surgery. The surgery will take place on 10/22/2015. I am very excited to continue on my journey that started almost 6 years ago!!
