I have battled being overweight all of my life.  However, my weight began to skyrocket after having two children.  I would look at myself in pictures and just be shocked at the "me" starring back.  I have a very dear friend who had the lapband surgery performed in April 2009 and looks great.  She was my inspiration to pursue the surgery.  I am a week post op and the weight is falling off.  I am just beginning my journey but I am looking so forward to it.  I am blessed with a wonderful, supportive partner giving me the love and support to go on this journey (thank you Denise--I love you).
