Hello Everyone. My name is Denise. I was just banded yesterday 1-19-2009. My starting weight is 300. I have been overweight off and on my whole life. On and off diets my whole life. More so in adulthood. After 3 C-Sections back to back I got to my highest weight and was miserable and embarassed. I hated myself for allowing me to get this big (I am so darn hard on myself). My life is wonderful. I am surrounded by amazing friends and family, EXCEPT for this big monster aka my weight!!!! I hated my weight. I wanted to get healthy and resorted to the Lap Band surgery to assist me in doing so. This site has helped me so much as its very imformative reading other peoples experiences both good and bad. I am in the hospital still as I write this. So my Journey begins now. I am looking forward to sharing my story and meeting new friends and hearing your stories too. Nice to meet you and I look forward to the rest of my life. No looking back. Smile and have a Wonderful day............:)
