To see if you have broken your pouch or if your pouch still works. http://www.5daypouchtest.com/

That was strange lol Anyway Breakfast: 1 Special K chocolate shake Snack: 1 Special K Chocolate Shake (was 30 min prior to going to exercise) lunch 1 Campbells Creamy Tomato Parmesan Bisque and so far so good. It's 3:50 and I am just a little hungry. I have had Crystal Light Tea and Fruit punch and getting ready to fix another bottle of Water for the ride home. I did have 3 cups of coffee with sweet and low and vanilla caramel creamer, not sure if that is allowed but didn't really think about it until after I drank it. Here's hoping to get back on track : ) Hope everyone has a great afternoon.

I was banded on 4/7/10 and have lost 30/35 pounds post op. However, I have not lost any weight since then. Matter of fact, on my last visit 2/17/11 for a fill I gained 4 pounds from last visit which was in Nov. I have 7.5cc's in a 10cc band. I don't know what to do. I was wondering if I should follow the weight watchers plan or just count calories. If I count calories, how do I know how many calories I should be eating? Kinda stuck on what I should be eating and how much. I am starting to feel like a failure and I really want to turn this around and make it work. I have NEVER had any stuck issues or throwing up issues and I haven't even had any of the foamy issues that I have read about. At dinner, I eat until I get that feeling - oh man I can't eat another bite. How would I know if I stretched out the pouch above the band. Thanks for listening

Thank you all for the advice. I am going to start keeping track of everything.

Thank you. I will try that. I don't have a smart phone, but looking to get one soon.

why? I haven't had ANY trouble - knock on wood. -
I can't answer your question - but I want to say congratulations on your success so far. I was banded on 4/7 as well and I won't get my first fill until 5/28. I am not having much luck losing right now. I have only lost 18 pounds and that was during the first 2 weeks. I sure what like to know what you are doing and what you are eating. Keep up the great work.

I go to the office in Woodbridge, VA. Dr. Mahtemework was my surgeon as well. I have an appt on 5/28 at 11am for my first fill. I wonder what in the world is going on? I really hope this wasn't a big mistake. -
I LOVE the Creamy Chicken Soup - It is Campbells Soup at hand. Creamy Tomato is good to eat as well

I had my surgery on a Wednesday and had a hernia repair as well. I went back that following Monday and took it slow all week.

How much did you lose on post-op diet?
Airam13 replied to prdmommyof3's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I lost 5 pounds pre op and 10 pounds post op - for a total of 15 pounds and I was banded on 4/7/10 -
Congratulations to you!! I was banded on 4/7 - my Dr. found a hernia too  They didn't tell me to drink 1 oz every hour. I even had a cup of Soup for dinner. I went back to work today and walked for 20 min during lunch. Feeling really good so far. Best of luck to you.

2nd day with the band and very happy
Airam13 replied to neveo's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was also banded on 4/7. I had trouble sleeping as well. I will be so glad when I can sleep on my side and stomach again. Still a bit sore and trying not to over do anything. I have to be on a liquid diet for 10 days then mushies for 4 weeks. I have lost 5 pounds so far. I have been eating tomato soup and creamy chicken soup I have had some yogurt and some sugar free pudding and 2 sugar free popsicles. Along with 2 Protein drinks I make it in a blender with ice and it tastes like choclate icecream. 4 oz of skim milk 1 scoop of the powder add some ice and blend. mmm mmm. I wish everyone the best of luck and you begin your new journey. -

Hello, CONGRATULATIONS - that is awesome. I have a surgery date of April 7th and have an appt with the office on Friday. I am very excited and nervous at the same time. I am more nervious about after the surgery and not losing the weight, and what all I should eat and how soon I can exercise. Airam -
THANK YOU VERY MUCH :smile2: I have another update - I finally have a surgery date April 7th 2010 - woo hoo. I have few mixed emotions now, I didn't think that would happen to me when I was reading other peoples posts, but it did lol. I am very happy one minute then want to cry the next minute lol. I guess that is normal. There was a mix up with the insurance but it is fixed now. The Surgery place thought I had Tricare Prime, but I have the standard and that is different. Standard doesn't really have any pre certs. So the hoops I was jumping through was not really needed. But the way I look at it is everything happens for a reason, and there was a reason it was meant to happen this way. SO YEAH, I can't wait for April 7th. Thank you all for your support and kind words. Talk to you soon.

Hello, I am new to this, so here goes. This is my story. 2 years ago I looked into lapband and talked myself right out of it for whatever reason. Then June of 09 I was at a party and was talking to one of my neighbors and one thing led to another and she told me she had labband surgery. Then I started looking into it again and started to get the ball rolling.Long story short, July started the process. I was hoping to have the surgery before the end of December for 2 reasons. 1 my husband wanted to be here with me before he got deployed and 2 we had to change insurance because of him being deployed. The one insurance we had, didn't have as many requirements as Tricare. The person who did the psychological evaluation took 5 1/2 weeks to complete it, so because of that I had to go under Tricare and now that we have Tricare, I had additional requirements to do. I did the blood test for H-pylori and that came back positive (just a trace) but because of that, I now have to see a G.I. doctor and have to take care of that before it can be submitted to the insurance co.I have almost given up several times, but my neighbor is very encouraging and I keep going. I feel like everytime, I get a step closer, I take 2 steps back. I am anxious to get this done, and start a healthier lifestyle. Has anyone else had any problems like this? Thank you for your time.
