I am 2 months out and down 50lbs:thumbup: I am 3 weeks after my first fill and the past couple days I have had a sour/upset stomach after eating. It subsides but then happens again after my next meal. I have been eating cole slaw past 2 days and wonder if this is what gas feels like. Its not sharp like a gas pain..its more a sour/upset feeling in the middle of my abdomen. Anyone else experience this??

Why am I so scared of Slippage?!?!?!?

I am freaking out. I was banded June 14th and followed post op diet pretty good..3 weeks on liquids and week 4 start eating food. At first it took me forever to eat a cup of food and then slowly I became starving ALL THE TIME. Now I eat much more then a cup of food and I tend to graze a lot! I still do mostly Protein and stay away from carbs but I feel like I eat ALOT and QUICKLY..I snack in between meals on mostly nuts, sunflower seeds, and hummus but I feel like I eat something almost every 2 hours. What are the odds I am going to go to the Dr on Tuesday for my first fill and they tell me my band slipped...its driving me crazy! I have lost about 30 lbs and went to the dr last week and although I havent gained any weight I only lost another 2 lbs in 2 weeks. Sorry to vent..Im just scared. -

2 weeks post op..did this happen to you
LaurenT626 posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am 2 weeks post op now and besides the occasional dehydration I have been great. I am still on an all liquid diet for another week. Yesterday I had the strangest sensation. My stomach basically blew up and got rock hard..I had a little reflux and I felt a burning pain in my stomach. I went to the ER and they did a Upper GI and showed no signs of slippage. They gave me some protonix and sent me home. I stayed on Clear liquids all day and finally just made myself a Protein shake. I took 2 baby sips and I felt that burn again. My stomach got hard again and I cant drink it. I was up to drinking about 4-6 ounces of shakes per hour and now I can barely get 3 sips down. Is it possible to have erosion this early on??? I dont know what else it could possibly be.. Anyone have this happen to them...I am trying to think what I did differently and the only 2 things I can think of is I lifted my daughter a couple times which I wasnt suppose to do and I wore my jeans which were a little tight in the waist area. HELP!!! -

They gave me protonix last night in the ER and I felt great..I made them give me a prescription for it..lol When I met with Dr Gritsus at one week post op he told me 2 more weeks of liquids...so that would be 3 weeks of liquids and then move to foods....are you doing 4 weeks? I looked on the papers that Susana gave me and it said weeks 1,2, and 3 stage 1...so I plan on starting foods a week from today...am I totally misunderstanding??? -

I was banded on June 14th...No pain at all just really hungry. I find he is more strict with the post op diet..a lot of others get to move to mushy food faster. I was in the ER last night with pain, and severe bloat and reflux...but thank God no slippage or anything. Dr. Gritsus is great tho..he is so calm and I really like him. I call him all the time cause I am always freaking out about something..lol How about you? When were you banded and how have you been feeling? -

Samanthea.. I don't know but it usually around the 15th. We might go to the same nutritionist...Susana?? My surgeon was Dr. Gritsus...they usually have it posted on the board so when I go in I will check it out:) -

I live in Sussex County NJ. I know there is a support group once a month at Chilton Hospital. I am going to try to go this month. -
Does this sound like a slipped band to you..I am 2 weeks post op still on liquids but experiencing a lot of tightness today..I just drank some Water and it feels like it is just sitting behind my breast bone. I went to lay down and I felt some stuff come up in my throat. I have no pain and I have been basically following my diet and only consuming liquids. I also dont have any pain or nausea. Just tightness and a lot of noises down there. Im starting to freak out!

LaurenT626 replied to rapidsangel's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes..I have to do one a day for a month! Been doing it for 2 weeks so far and they arent too bad. They dont hurt at all but do leave bruises sometimes. Good luck! -
Hi all! Just wanted to take a quick poll and see what your "staple foods" are. These are foods that have never gotten stuck and always work well for you. Then on the flip side what are the foods that fail you every time? Thanks!:smile2:
