HELLO ARKANSAS BANDERS I FINALLY HAVE A DATE 10/20/2010 THIS IS VERY LUCKY DATE FOR ME IT IS MY DAUGHTERS & GRAND-DAUGHTERS BIRTHDAYS. I AM GOING TO START MY NEW ME ADVENTURE ON THAT DAY. I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO FIND OTHER PEOPLE FROM THIS AREA TO TALK TO AND SEE IF I COULD GET SOME INFORMATION INSIGHT INTO WHAT THE NEXT TWO MONTHS ARE GOING TO BE LIKE, NO NO LUCK.:thumbup: IT SEEM FUNNY THE OFFICE IS FULL OF PEOPLE LIKE ME GETTING THE LAP-BAND®®® AND THE SEMINARS ARE FULL OF PEOPLE SAYING THEY ARE GOING TO THE SAME:w00t: DOCTOR BUT I CAN'T FIND ANY OF THEM TO TALK TOO? DR. JOHN BAKER IS MY SURGION BAPTIST HOSPITAL IN LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS IS THE PLACE IT WILL HAPPEN. I HAVE STARTED MY 10 DAYS OF HMR SHAKES WITH ALL KINDS OF 2 TABLESPOONS OF FLAVORS:tt2: SUGAR FREE JELLO/PUDDING V-8 JUICE HOT & SPICEY CARROT JUICE / CHEESE SOUP NO FAT CONDENCED 2 TABLES SPOON IN VANILLA SHAKE WARM SOUP DRINK JUST ANYTHING TO MAKE IT SEEM LIKE I AM EATING:thumbup: SOMETHING THAT HAS A TASTE. AND THE DILL PICKLES ARE TO DIE FOR SOMETHING CRUNCHY.:cursing: WHAT CAN I SAY I AM HERE AND I AM GOING TO DO THIS. Hello Arkansas 10/20/10 surgery date Started my HMR shakes for 10 days and really enjoy the new posts about whats to come post and pre surgery. I have been waiting a long time for this day to come. Not nervous yet just anxious for the 20th to be here. Good Luck to everyone and hang in there next year will be here before we know it and everything will be different for us. A New Me & You -

I started a couple years ago but insurance refused now i am disabled and it is covered. Been about 6 months on list because of medicare insurance. -

I am going in on the 20th of October for surgery. Today 10/10/10 is the first day of the HMR shakes 5 a day. I am really noticing food every where. I am going to do this. :puke: I can't watch TV all the stupid food comercials. Just wanted to make contact with someone in the same boat. cherie -
Beneprotein ??? What is it and where do you get it? just started my 10 days of Liquid HMR shakes before surgery really starting to see food every where?? Going to do this!

Hi you have my date i was hoping to be banded the week after valintines days "love my body week" but have not heard anything yet. I am sure you will do fine, just think about this is your new beginning of the rest of your life. Are you on the liquid diet? How is that going? How many visits did you have with dr. W. Before you got your date? Are you paying or do you have insurance? I have insurance that is going to pay, just waiting to see doctor went to seminar in january 19 . Send in all paper work had all blood test have my family doctor referral ok'ing surgery. Have a 48 bmi, i did weigh 280 monday my husband has a pacemaker put in. Stress and snow staying at hospital no sleep gained 5 pounds. Everything went good. Just wish i had your date. Good luck keep in touch.cherie -
Arkansasbandster: Thanks for the thread, how long did it take once you had all the test and paperwork in and approvel from insurance to get a date with the doctor? I have done all my home work and hate the wait. I am gaining weight just waiting eating stuff i would normally not touch. I a glad your surgery went smooth, i really like reading the first few days after surgery how every one copes with the pain, i had 5 kids natural child birth, it isn't as bad as having kids is it? No I am still waiting, but I have all my test run and approvel from insurance so won't be to long now. Today had my mamagram the lady that did it had the surgery 6 years ago said it was the best thing she had ever done. It seems everywhere I go I meet someone that had it done,they are happy.I would just about take anything to feel healthy and active. I love to ride horses have not been able to for 10 years, Still have the horses just don't ride, that is my driving force to be able to ride again. When did you have yours done? What doctor did you use I am using Dr. Wellborn in Baptist Little Rock, Arkansas. I would like to chat with more people from Arkansas and see how the travel effect the recovery. And trips to doctors I don't travel well if weather is bad, we had 9 inches of snow two days ago. But I want it done, so next year 2011 I will be in better shape to have a life. Sorry I went on and on. Get backed to me, I try to get on here every night. cherie

I STARTED THIS WEIGHT LOSS AT 347 LEARNING ALL I COULD ABOUT DIET & DIABETES I AM DOWN TO 280 THATS 67 LBS.:thumbup:DOWN, NOW THE ? WITHOUT GETTING CUT OFF THE SITE, MY BUNS [CHEEKS] REAR-END :thumbup: HURTS IT IS LIKE A PLUMBERS CRACK WHEN I WIPE IS IT BECAUSE I HAVE LOST SO MUCH WEIGHT MY BUNS ARE PULLING ON SOMETHING??
