How To Make Our Marriage Survive Thru Lapband
patyann replied to caligirl07's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Wouldn't the surgery help you to concieve, since it would help you to lose the weight? It may be that your husband loves you and wants you to be healthy and do this with him and not that he prefers you look a certain way. I know for me, my partner is not the healthest weight and I try to encourage dieting, etc. but it is certainly not because I want her to look a certain way, I want her to be healthy. I hope it works out for you, it can be a very emotional time for the two of you, trying to have a baby, lose weight etc. Good luck and God Bless! -

Help. What Am I Doing Wrong?
patyann replied to BeautyLarue's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Sometimes when you begin a workout program, especially an intense one, you can hold water which helps your muscles to heal. Just be patient and you may very well see a big drop soon. Good Luck! -
Lap Band Surgery Put On Hold Due To Diagnosis
patyann replied to GoBanana's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
So sorry to hear that. I was recently diagnosed with Leukemia and can so understand what you feel at this moment. My Christmas wish for you is to beat this horrible thing called Cancer. God speed!! -
Heather- Some people may think your son is the one to feel bad for but it is those people with the insensitive remarks to feel sorry for. Your son, has love and support and so many prayers going for him. Those people well...hell can be a terrible place for sure. God speed to you little hero.

Count me as one who absolutely loves their band. The only time I don't "love" my band is when I am not being accountable and want to blame it on my band. But the band does it job and does it well for me. Happy Thanksgiving all.

Running, weights and stairs! When i say Stairs I mean 1,000 to 2,000 real stairs (not a stair master, but a building stairwell) in a workout. It is great cardio and strength training in one. I love it.

Congrats to you - it is one year for me on 11/09/11 and I too say it is the best thing I have ever done for myself.

November 2010 Bandsters - post op
patyann replied to DebWS's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My bandiversary is November 9th, so to reward myself and prove to myself how strong I have become and what I am capable of, I will be climbing the Sears Tower in Chicago (yes I know it is now Willis but will always be Sears to me). On Sunday November 6th, I will climb 103 stories that is 2,109 stairs. I have lost 78 pounds, still have about 50 to go but am so happy to feel in control and powerful. Good luck to all of us regardless of where we are on our journey!! WE CAN DO THIS!
