I've had the band in for about 6 months. I've lost 90 ibs (205 from 295) and am doing great, I think. However, for the past four months or so I get these pretty severe pains in my stomach that I'm pretty sure are gas-related. But a couple of times the pain gets so severe that it's almost crippling. I had a fill in late December, and it's only happened a couple of times since then. The doctor didn't notice anything unusual in the x-ray. Does anyone else experience this or think it's serious? Thanks

I was banded 7 months ago and have lost about 110 pounds since then. It has been an enormous success so far. (185 down from 295) That being said, recently I've been feeling this weird, "tight" kind of pressure feeling at my port sight. I've been feeling it for about 3 or 4 days now. It doesn't necessarily hurt though sometimes it aches a little bit. It's a fairly constant feeling that's slightly more noticeable when I sit down. Like I said, it's more of a pressure/tightness feeling at the site than pain. Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone know what's going on?

I've been in NY on vacation. I've walked nearly 20 miles this week. I had some stomach pain earlier this week due to some swelling but it's gotten better. But my port feels a little sore/unusual. Has anyone else experienced this? Maybe the big amount of activity is making it sore. Just making sure it hasn't shifted or anything. I'm not in any real pain. It just feels a little different, mildly uncomfortable. (Started at 300, down to 185 in 6 months)

I got my last band-fill about two months ago, a few days before Christmas. I've lost nearly 40 pounds since then. However, I'm pretty sure within the past few weeks or so that I've been able to eat more than I was when I first got the fill. I'm still losing weight, which is probably due to my intensive workout schedule and the fact that I walk 3 miles a day around Chicago getting to class and work. I've read some things on here about band leaks. Does this mean I am leaking? Or is this normal? What do you guys think?

I was banded 6 months ago. Every once in awhile, I get this pain in my stomach. It's absolutely agonizing and it feels like there's a big clamp on my stomach (which there is). It gets so bad that it's unbearable. Like I said, this is an occasional problem (happens maybe once a month or less) but when it happens it's pretty bad. But otherwise I have no problems. Everything is normal. I called my surgeon. He says he doesn't think it's anything to worry about but to keep an eye on it. It's got me pretty worried. Has this happened to anyone else? Do you think it's serious?

I got the lap band surgery about 6 months ago. Up til now, I've had absolutely no complications, not even vomiting. But last night at dinner, I took a bite of a sandwich that was too big and it got stuck in my pouch. I ran to the bathroom and vomited it up, and there was some blood in my vomit. Is this a serious problem or is this normal? Thanks for the help.

I talked to my doctor on the phone today and he said to just go on liquids for a couple of days, that it was probably just an irritated esophagus. So thanks guys!
