  7. Okay, I had surgery on March 26, which was the last day I had a BM. I figured it was okay not to have a BM for several days after surgery, because I wasn't eating much but liquids. Then, I progressed to mashed food, so I guess I should have some sold BM now.:smile2: I had my follow up appointment with my surgen and I told him this. He said that it was normal and I should have a BM soon. It was the 8th day after surgery. Today is the 14th day after surgery so what do I do now, because I feel bloated and very uncomfortable. I'm afraid of taking laxative because of the cramping as well as the size of the capsule. So what do I do?

    No BM for 13 days

Thank you to everyone who help me with my shity situation:biggrin:. I guess I can't run for congress anymore cause I let it loose. I took a stool softner and I had a great BM. I started to count again to see when I will have another BM. I'm really don't want my body to be uses to taking anything to go. But if I need it I will. Thanks again everyone.
  9. Surgery was not really painful. The best way to explain the feeling is mostly pressure. I felt a lot of pressure in my abdomin. I didn't really feel my incision site soreness until 5 days later. Now whats kind of irritating is my port site. I couldn't find it at first, but as the swelling and pressure went down. I started to feel where the port site was and the annouing feeling I'm getting from it. I've never had surgery in my life so I think this was a great one.

    Banded March 26th!!!

I was banded on March 26 too. My experience was great, the nurse and doctors were very nice and helpful. I went home the same day of surgery about 3 hours after surgery. My mom took good care of me. I didn't have much pain, but I did have a lot of pressure. I don't have much gas now, but when ever I eat I do get gas pain. The only thing which seems to be a little funny is when I do feel a little hungery I get pain. Besides that I feel okay. My start weight before per-op diet was 218 lbs. On surgery day my weight was 199. Now, my weight is 191. I started to workout yesterday. I was a little scared but I didn't do too much. Everyday now I think about what I will look like after a month or two months. I'm so excited.:bored:

    Me in March 2010 ~ 217

I have no butt and yes I got it from my momma.

Funny because everyone always wish they had something else.
  13. I had surgery on friday March 26. I also worked the day before surgery, which I thought was crazy. I stayed at work until 1am trying to complete all of my work before taking a week off. Anyways, the next day everything felt so surreal. I couldn't believe I was having the lapband surgery after so many years of thinking about it. Well, I hope quick recovery and little gas pain. Good luck.

    March Bandster Updates

I had surgery on March 26 only 2 days post op and still having a lot of gas pain. My incision site doesn't hurt at all. I'm still on a full clear liquid diet for a week. I haven't taken any protein yet but will start tomorrow. My start weight was about 218 lbs. Day of surgery I weighted 199 and today I weight 195.
  16. I got banded on 3-26-10 and surgery went very well. I have a lot of pressure in my epigastric area, which is expected. My only problem is that I'm having a little difficulty breathing. I feel like I have shortness of breath. When I'm trying to talk for a while I'm gapsing for air.:smilielol5: I've also notice that when I'm breath in deeply, it's really not that deep. So has anyone gone through this? If so how long did it last?
