Dr. Simpson was teasing me because I carry a Blackberry for work and while I was waiting for my appointment he said that I look like him on the Blackberry. I have surgery scheduled on the 18th with Dr. Simpson. When I went for the consult he took his time with me, answered my questions and was in general very nice. In the paperwork is his personal email. He answers them from his blackberry himself, not the staff. I really like Christine and Darcy also. Both are very nice. They suggest Wells Fargo for the financing, but I did not go through them. I went through APF (advanced patient financing) because of low credit scores. I will be going to the class on the 14th. This is the one that is required prior to surgery. I did talk to the PA at my primary doctor's office and she said that she has heard only great things about Dr. Simpson. Keep us posted on what you think please.

I got my date yesterday. It will be the 18th, so now there are three of us that day! My husband has not been very supportive of this. Honestly on the way home I started to cry. Part relief and part fear I think. Things will be very different for me after the banding. Thankfully I have close friends IRL and you guys for support. Anyone else experience this when they got their dates?

I don't have a date yet, but it will be in October. My Dr. said no pre-op diet is necessary (for him) unless your BMI is over 50.

I haven't been banded yet, but I bought this suit as inspiration (in a size 10). I want to wear it with a pair of sleek brown boots.

I live in Phoenix and am a self-pay with my husband's insurance reimbursing about half of the cost. I am going to Dr. Simpson. His staff has been helpful and very nice. It helps that two of them have had gastric procedures. Guess I am off to find out what a pb is now.

I am currently trying to convince my husband that this is the right choice for me. I know it is and I know that I will do well with the surgery. I have chosen Dr. Terry Simpson www.drsimpson.net to do my surgery. Like I said, I am excited about this. I just wish my husband could see that it is not cosmetic and for my health. My father died young from heart disease and my Mom just passed on 8/11 from complications of heart and lung disease. I am 120 lbs over weight.
