hello, I just got my first feel today I am 4 months post op and I really had to pull some legs to get my fill today. I wanted to know that I have been averaging 1.65lbs without the fill and wanted to gauge how much weight could I possible lose additonal weekly since I now have a .3cc fill. I do follow my diet was suggested to increase the Protein and I workout 6 days a week. Any suggestion I would appreciate as I am trying to lose 15-25 by my b-day in 8 weeks.

thank you for the tips currently I am a PT that has been on a program of 5 day cardio and 3 day strength trainning. So I understand should be adding the classes into this program? i.e. after the program workout do a class? I will try this and give an update in a couple of weeks to see how I'm doing!

Size What to Size What?
chakatw replied to samanthazzz's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I think this is a great thread I'm a newbie. Starting at size 22/24 Current size 18/20 I feel .... a little discouraged....slow slow loss I need to work on: believing that I can do this and jnowing that it takes time. -
Hello, I looking for serious support I have not opted not to disclose my lapband procedure to everybody just the important ones, but my weight-loss has been so slowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. even though my surgery says its great cuz I'm losing like 1.65lbs a week between my sessions. I do not have any fills as he wont give me any due to success. lol I was banded in october 09 and lost about 26lbs but i gained another 2 back this week so I workout in the gym at least 5 or 6 times a week and believe that it could be muscle gain but i have an appointment on Tuesday and I know that he will look at me as if I'm not trying when I am 96% committed to the diet and excercise to lose the weight. I'm also looking to Celebrate my bday in 10 weeks and would really love to drop 25-30lbs in that time period. If anyone has any suggestions, tips I would love for some help. I look forward to talking everyone in the chicagoland area. i'm usually on this site about 3 times a weeks so I look forward to reading your post and exchanging motivation. Thank you,

5-day Pouch Test- Menu suggestions?
chakatw replied to juliansmom2003's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
hello, ok I have a quick question with the 5 day pounch is it to retrain your band or to assist in a weight loss? I was just banded 4 months ago and my diet is pretty still in tact but I am interested in trying the 5 day pounch diet if it may produce a small weight loss? Has anyone tried the diet and had a success story? -

How's the October Bansters doing?
chakatw replied to heyred1's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was banded on Oct 6 in Illinois and unlike many of the post I only lost 3lbs pre-opt first check up I dropped only 8lbs. since then I have been dropping on average 1-1.5lbs a week which is great by my doctor standard but as I read everyone's post I dont think I have been as lucky. I am looking to lose 12lbs by mid march. I eat around 900-1400 cal everyday and workout about 5 or 6 days a week. So I'm very motivated but sometimes its dishearting to read everyones post of excellent great news and I cant relate to that great news. So thats my october bandsters story I look forward to hearing more post from the october bandsters. -
did you notice an consistent weight loss with alli when you got banded? Im looking to jump start the weight loss. If my diet is consistent with low or no fat I shouldn't have any leaking issues?

HGC?? I never heard of this before. What is HGC? is this a new unknown diet? is this an easy plan?

Hello, I see that you had your surgery a week after me and your weight loss is kinda online with mine-has your doctor told you that your weoght loss was great without the big number? do you have a fill? -
Well guys I am almost four months out on the 6th and only have lost about 28lbs. I have very active in the gym and just acquired a PT that said I needed to refocus my workouts so I'm excited about the PT. I am looking to lose 40-50lbs by May. Are there any suggestion on what else I can do to try to lose a little bit more weight? Looking for alternative from fellow bandsters that have the same issue. FYI: I am unfilled and my doctor wil not give me a fill.
-
Hello, Well my doctor said that he doesnt want to give me a fill because the weight loss is easier now and he wants to wait until I've lost another 40-50 on my own because he said it will be harder to lose further along I do into the year. So I am not filled and have no restriction but I eat like I do eating only 1200-1400 cals a day if that honestly I don't be really hungry. I will try that BMR which may help! your comments have been great! The struggle continues Thanks, Chaka

Hello, I'm looking for a new excersise routine I work out at least 6 days a week and would like to shake things up a bit. I'm 12 weeks post op and not dropping the way I would like too. Any suggesstions????
-
Well right now I was doing 3 miles on the elipitcal and some strength training and 20 minutes in the sauna. I recently just stepped it up on monday adding in sit ups etc. strength excercises. Any other suggestions? I would like to stay in the 1.5 - 2lbs range per week.
-
How do I put a tickler on my profile?
-
Well I went to see my surgeon today hoping that I was going get a fill, well that didn't happen once again he told me I was doing so well and that he didn't see a need for a fill at this time. Which is very frustrating!!! Has this happen to anyone else? I guess the good news that I lost 9lbs since the 6 weeks I last seen him so that's what I'm holdong onto as motivation.

Calories, Calories and Calories...
chakatw replied to dandleon's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Well I spoke to my dietician today and to lose weight and be consistent you should try to eat between 1200-1400 calories and burn 600-700 a day because it takes 3500 calories to burn 1lb. I hope this helps. -
-
Thanks for the reply! No I'm not starving but I eat what I'm suppose to eat so I guess i should be happy that I'm not gaining and that I'm actually losing. I'm going to stay positive.
