Hey Michelle, That is so sweet to hear! The whole thing is amazing. I don't obsess over food like I used to... I am trying to do a weekly weigh in and last wednesday I was down 20lbs. People are starting to notice. The best is fitting into my smaller clothes. Last night was my first social since the band and other than the itchy stitches, all went well. I ate mostly fish...the hard part was the alcohol. My fave is a G&T! I did have a vodka infused jello shot! LOL! Yummy buy strong! I also did go for an amazing walk yesterday. Trying to get some excercise in. Will start with my trainer on April 1st. I think I need to do some more healing! Oh yeah, major crazziness...in Costco yesterday and my mouth felt dry and stupid me took a very small sip of my daughter's 7up! Wow, what a feeling. Won't ever do that again! Question: when we have surgery, is there any fill in the band?? You look amazing and I love reading your blog! Keep it up sunshine. A

Hey Doddie, Thanks for that! The one thing I cannot handle is throwing up. You should see me when I have the flu or something. I try my damndest to hold it in! YUP! So I will try my damndest to chew chew chew and not overfill! This is my new life as a bandster and I will embrace it each step of the way...Looking forward to the journey! I am doing well. The bowels are having some difficulties but I am working on it. Someone suggested Gas-X. Will have to go out and purchase!

All went well! The staff at FCSC were excellent. Just at home recovering...deal with a little pain where the port is. Managing with extra strength...avoiding codeine. Hoping by tomorrow it will subside. Keep you posted as the days progress! Stay tuned.... GO CANADA GO! Antonella

10lbs down and less than 24 hours to go. Getting excited. Ok, give me the deets. Be nice...how much pain am I gonna be in? I had 2 c-sections and this is less invasive but do you feel anything internally where they put the band??? Hope all is well and everyone is out enjoying the olympics! GO CANADA GO! Cheers, Antonella

Ok 7 days in...I am counting them! Trust me! Not easy when going to Olympic events, walking and watching people eat smokies and stuff! I want to rip their faces off. Too much??
I have so much more energy. I did have to put a little oil in my salad and had a small piece of salmon! I was feeling sick! I did start my own little blog on livestrong.com Very cool to express your feelings! Yours is looking fantastic and you are doing amazing! I know its hard but keep it up! Less than a week away...getting excited and nervous!

How come no one told me the shakes taste like Slimfast??? I worried myself sick for no reason...Today is day 1! I downed it with a straw...a little thicker than I thought but it went down. Looking forward to my bar! I am getting excited. My husband took pictures of me last night and boy was it an eye openener! I have an idea...what about starting a Fitness Club! My surgery is on the 24th! One week later and I would have met you...don't know what condition I would be in. My surgery is booked for 7am...what time did you have yours done?? When did you have your surgery? Live in Vancouver?? A

The joy of getting POKED! Happy to hear it went well...all part of the journey! I start my liquid diet tomorrow...I am more nervous of that than the actual surgery! I am so afraid of what the shakes taste like and will I die of starvation??????? LOL! I am from Vancouver...15 minutes away from the center! You are looking great. I think it is easier if you go to the Vancouver Bandster's and post your questions...I am trying to figure all of this stuff out myself!
I am nervous as well...I start my Meditrim on Wednesday! I read some of these blogs and think I am crazy for doing this! I have tried and tried and tried so many diets and even working out...NADDA! This will be a tool for me to get healthier! Stay positive and keep me posted on the progress!

I am having my surgery Feb 24 and I am scared out of my pants! Spending all this money and then gaining the weight back! I have been in the same boat! Heavy since my teens! Fortunately for the False Creek Surgical Clinic, with the procedure, they offer counselling for one year post op and they are looking into adding more time! Stay strong and POSITIVE! Good luck!
